Im zweiten Hauptteil der Arbeit wird anhand von fünf synoptischen Studien zum Kult-Personal (1Chr 5,27-6,38), zum Kult-Gegenstand der Bundeslade (1Chr 13-16) zum Kult-Ort (1Chr 21) zum Kult-Kalender (2Chr 5-7) sowie zur Kult-Handlung (2Chr 26) der Nachweis geführt, dass die Tora nicht nur begrifflich zitiert wird, sondern sich auch integral auf die Textkonstitution der Chronik auswirkt. Im Gespräch mit der rezenten Pentateuch-Forschung bestätigt sich die Annahme, dass zwischen den späten Texten des Pentateuchs und den Texten der Chronikbücher enge Verbindungen bestehen und die Schriftgelehrten zur selben Epoche gehören. Die Chronik ist demnach eine Reformulierung der Geschichte des judäischen Königtums aus dem Geiste der Tora.

Book SynopsisPhillip Melanchthon's psalm commentary was compiled based on his psalm lectures given at Wittenberg University from 15481553. In his commentary, the humanistic method for exegesis is used. The theological basis plays an important role in exegesis, namely the unity of the Old and New Testaments, the distinction between law and gospel, the connection between Christ and the church and the connection between David and the church. Clarity, pedagogy and application to the Church are important characteristics of Melanchthon's Psalm Commentary. Seongmin Ryu considers the theology of his psalm commentary under six themes: first, the revelation of God for the Church. Second, the law that outputs the content of revelation as the principle of God that rules the world. The law determines God's judgment towards man. Third, God gives the Church the other principle of redemption, the gospel. Fourth, the object of the gospel is the church. Fifth, the gospel-accepting church suffers in this life and calls on God. Sixth, God hears the Church calling him. These considerations show that at the center of the Psalm Commentary is the connection between God and the Church, specifically the comfort and promise of God for the preservation of the Church. Luther, Bugenhaben, Bucer, Calvin and Cajetan can be named among the psalms in the 16th century. By comparing them with their interpretations, Seongmin Ryu works out the unity of the Reformation theology and the difference between the Reformation theology and the Catholic, especially in the question of authority.

A comparison of the Greek classical texts with the letters of St Paul shows that, following the example of his predecessors, Paul presents God as the Most High. However, he also writes about Him as the One. On high the world of Olympus was inhabited by gods. For the Apostle, heights are not only the place of Gods existence, but also the goal of human life. The antithesis between humiliation and exaltation characteristic of the ancient world is also used by Paul. Some of the classical authors accepted the possibility of a human resurrection. Paul made the theme of the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of believers one of the key treatises of his theology (1 Cor 15). The ancient world also had a negative understanding of heights as pride and exaltation. Stasiak also find this theme in Pauls letters, albeit in a somewhat richer dimension.

Ines Pollmann examines this and makes the origin of Pauline law criticism historically plausible. In four texts such motives become manifest but they are usually rejected: the repression of the law in Ant. 4.145-149, the impossible fulfilment of the law in 4Esra 8.20-36, the spiritualisation of ritual laws in Philo migr. 89-93 and the posterior addition of the states law in Philo Jos. 28-31.Pollmann then demonstrates that these four motives are representative and embedded in mentality trends of Judaism. The trends within Judaism itself give evidence of general traditions of antiquity: the sophistic law criticism, the consciousness of the imperfection of the human nature, the allegorical interpretation of religious praxis and the high esteem of unspoilt origins. Paul was the first to combine these diverse motives and, as a consequence of his belief in Christ, turned them into law criticism. His attitude towards the law is ambivalent and combines the respect for the law with a criticism on the law's downside.

Korinna Zamfir argues that the ecclesiology of the Pastoral Epistles presupposes the metaphorical use of oikos Theou and shows that in Greco-Roman antiquity oikos denotes larger social entities like the religious association, the polisand the cosmos. The ekklesia is the oikos and polis of God. As a consequence the Pastoral Epistles define roles and ministries based on the public-private divide and on honor and shame mentality. The theo-logical and cosmic dimension of the household of God explains the essentialist understanding of social and ecclesial roles. The author also tackles the contrast between discourse and ecclesial reality.

Diese Allusionen entwerfen für die Erzählfigur des markinischen Jesus vor dem Hintergrund des Triumphzugs eine Doppelrolle: Im Geschick der Gestalt Jesus werden sowohl die Figur des siegreichen Triumphators wie die des im Triumphzug hinzurichtenden königlichen Gefangenen sichtbar. Auf diese Weise entsteht für die Erstleserinnen und -leser des Markusevangeliums das irritierende Konzept eines gekreuzigten Triumphators. Bilder von Hoheit und Niedrigkeit, Sieg und Niederlage, Tod und Leben überlagern sich. Und gerade im scheinbaren Scheitern am Kreuz sollen die Leser einen Triumphator entdecken: eine christologische Herausforderung erster Güte.In seiner Studie identifiziert und untersucht Markus Lau diese markinischen Allusionen auf das Ritual des römischen Triumphzugs unter Rekurs auf ein breites exegetisches Methodenspektrum und interpretiert diese Anspielungen im Blick auf ihre literarische Funktionalität.
