Fagbokforlaget Innovation Capacity
Book SynopsisEstablished firms need to balance their current business with future opportunities. The structures and processes that foster renewal and innovation differ from those allowing the firm to maintain daily operations. This book explores how managers can develop innovation capacity in the established firm, thus enabling repeated innovation and renewal. The underlying foundation of the book is the belief that innovation is a result of the interactions among people within and around the established firm. We present eight distinct organizational solutions that enable innovation and renewal. For each solution, we describe the theory behind it and illustrate it with recent cases, most of them from Norway or the Nordics. The book targets managers and employees in the private and public sectors who hold responsibility for innovation and renewal in an established firm. It is also suitable for students, particularly within the fields of strategy, organization and management.

De Gruyter Smart Analysis of Tourism Policy Efficiency in
Book Synopsis The purpose of this study is to determine the role of tourism in the economy of Bulgaria. In this paper, we present the history of the Bulgarian tourism industry trends from the beginning to its contemporary policy patterns. We apply an econometric methodology consisting of unit root test, cointegration analysis, linear regression, correlation analysis, Granger causality test and 3-D visualizations by IBM Watson Studio based on the statistics for the period 1980-2017. Exploring the link between tourism and the economic development of Bulgaria, the tourism – led - growth hypothesis about Bulgaria is validated for the post-communism period. Our findings show that a relationship between tourism and Bulgaria’s economic development exists. We can conclude that tourism is in part an endogenous growth process. Aarhus University Press Learning Perspective
Book SynopsisWith this book The Learning Perspective, which can be read by anyone interested in learning and changes in organisations, the authors want to describe some prerequisites for the initiation of procedures of learning in and changes of organisations, and some possible relations between theory and practice. It is now practice of employees and managers in most organisations to add a learning perspective to daily practices. Many of these practices have become routine. In spite of that, we can still learn from these relations and practices. The fundamental basis adding the learning perspective is to see activities independent from routines. The basis might also be reflections over the strength of problem solving regarding existing activities and over solutions in relation to new patterns of activities. The on-going discussion and considerations about the learning organisation and organisational learning follow many different lines. In recent years two have become dominant. The first concerns the connections between an overarching level and a sort of infrastructure of the learning organisation and of organisational learning. The learning society, the learning region and the learning local authority are expressions of this discussion. The second line of discussion concerns conceptualisations of the learning organisation and organisational learning as a theoretical structure, and problems with implementing these theoretical considerations.

New Era Publications International APS Ethics and Conditions
Book SynopsisMan has long found ethics to be a confusing subject. In recent decades it has become more so. How does a person know if what he is doing is right or wrong? When he sees dishonest men hold power, criminals go free and traditional values cast aside, maybe he feels he should take the easy way out. "Others cheat on their taxes, why shouldn't I? Other kids shoplift, what's the harm?" But, regardless of anything else, a person has to live with himself. With many pressures pushing and pulling at a person, how can he be sure his choices will be best for himself, his family and every aspect of his life and his future? L. Ron Hubbard achieved a remarkable breakthrough in the field of ethics which included not only simplification and codification of the subject, but development of a workable technology with applicability to our daily lives, one which brings about increased happiness, prosperity and survival. These fundamentals, taken from Mr. Hubbard's body of work, even when combined with the section, "Integrity and Honesty and Doing What's Right," which provides yet more information on the subject, do not present the entirety of ethics technology available in Scientology. However, they do provide an exact means for an individual to gradiently raise his ethics level, increase his survival potential in any area of life and help others do the same. Thus ethics technology is the key tool you need to succeed in all aspects of existence.
