Book SynopsisThe book is an exploration of the creative crossings between the liberative stream of the eschatology of Edward Schillebeeckx and the stylistic strategies of 'Third Cinema', political cinema dedicated to the representation of Third World liberation.Trade Review'I find Screening Schillebeeckx: Theology and Third Cinema in Dialogue very interesting. I am not one who sees a lot of films; for me, that is a defect. I think cinema, which speaks of human life, is very interesting and also very necessary for theologians to study. Edward Schillebeeckx 'The great Soviet filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein once wrote of the social value of 'intellectual montage,' in which new and revolutionary ideas might spring from the juxtaposition of previously separate images.
