Fuego Books Up Around The Bend
Book SynopsisIn 1953 The United States and Spain signed an agreement of mutual defense and economic aid and they decided to build an Aero-naval Base in the municipality of Rota in Cádiz. Of the 8. 000 acres that constitute the town, about 2. 400 belong to the Base, and so the constant presence of a fence is drawn into the landscape of this small community: although it constitutes a physical barrier between the communities, it also lets the culture and traditions of the north Americans seep through its gaps. In the 70s Christian's family moved to Rota and he was raised between these cultural and social influences. In 2011 the author begins to observe and to look around in an effort to try to make sense out of his life and his roots. He decides to portray the people that are a part of his reality, the places that are a part of his memories and those signals that slowly help him solve the numerous questions he has on identity and memory: this is what gives life to his project.

Vandret Holding the Frame
Book SynopsisThis book follows Image is Imminent and conflates the past four years of work by the artist. The title Holding the Frame came to the artist while watching Agnes Martin''s film Gabriel. In her film, everything within the frame appears in near-constant motion while the camera is clearly hand held and also continually wavers. The book directly engages with Gottlund''s Beholder and Spanner works as well as the many recognized and more ad hoc tools of the print industry. In concert with his photographs and sculptural works, Gottlund has written an experimental text which is hacked, ripped and pieced together from other artist''s writings, design manuals, book reviews and press releases. The text has been reproduced at the end of the book

Silvana Campigli and the Etruscans: A Pagan Happiness
Book Synopsis“A pagan happiness entered my paintings in the spirit of both my subjects and work, which became freer and more lyrical”. These are the words used by Massimo Campigli himself to describe his visit to the Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome in 1928. He attributed to this event a fundamental value for the development of the mature phase of his artistic production. This catalogue compares a specific selection of Campigli’s works with Etruscan finds, with which they naturally share atmospheres, signs and colours. This innovative and learned analysis brings about the opportunity to present for the first time to the public valuable archaeological items, mostly unpublished and to date preserved in the deposits of the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per la provincia di Viterbo e per l’Etruria Meridionale. Text in English and Italian.

Forma Edizioni GONG: Eliseo Mattiacci
Book SynopsisEliseo Mattiacci (Cagli, 1940) is considered a leading figure in modern and contemporary Italian art. He is a widely exhibited sculptor known as an early proponent of Arte Povera and a pioneer of the late-Sixties avant-garde. His work revolves around ideas of the spatial and conceptual relationships between art and nature, and between man and the environment. Mattiacci's cosmological iconographies embody the ideas that have occupied him throughout his career: how the cosmos, the planets, and magnetic fields affect the material world. This important retrospective exhibition of twenty sculptures and nearly 80 drawings has been installed both inside and in the gardens of the recently renovated Forte di Belvedere in Florence. The catalogue features numerous critical essays and extensive on-site photographs of the installation.Table of ContentsContents: Critical anthology selected by Studio Mattiacci; photographs of the exposition.
