It says at the back of the book that it may become a series! I really hope the next one will come out soon and that I can get my hands on it to read. It is very bad for bedtimes, if you read it at bedtime like I did; you don't notice it getting later and later and you may be very tired the next morning! This book has also got brilliant grey drawings, they make me laugh because they have little features that are similar with the characters in the author's other books. I liked these similarities because I could even link all her book's characters as descendants of each other and all of them fitted together to almost make one story.' Dragonrider age 10 * https://toppsta.com/books/details/381721/which-way-to-anywhere#reviews *Magical worlds as only Cressida Cowell can. Just like The Wizards of Once series, this first book in the Which Way to Anywhere series is incredibly imaginative while this time linking into normal daily life and family matters with a blended family struggling to get along. There is also an environmental thread where humans have been the key in driving a beautiful species to near extinction. But they also may have the answer to bring it back to its full potential. The characters are all quirky in their own way, my favourite being K2 who has always been overshadowed by his loud, feisty twin sister Izzabird. All he wants is to prove himself, and he finally gets an opportunity to do something none of his siblings can - help save their baby sister. An out of this world, exciting, funny, gripping and magical adventure! * www.whatbooknext.com *I have missed 'The Wizards of Once' so much since the series ended, and 'Which Way to Anywhere' fills that black hole inside of me where 'Wizards' once occupied. The hallmark Cowellisms are present, with enough creativity to carve its own path in children's literature and make me excited to read more in this world. This is the perfect balance of silly and sentimental, with scenes in the third act worthy of tissues. Characters are alive and imperfect, providing a truly fantastic trajectory of growth and learning that readers will learn and grow from themselves. I can always rely on Cowell's characters to do the impossible, all the while reminding us that we can do the impossible ourselves if we only try.A truly exciting and fast-paced plot that not even my two kittens could distract me from, the illustrations also fed my imagination. Cressida Cowell's stories are my comfort reads, and 'Which Way to Anywhere' deserves its place in Cowell's iconic bibliography, as it soars just as high as 'How to Train Your Dragon' and enchants us just as much as 'The Wizards of Once'. * Gavin Hetherington, BookTuber *The depths of our Children's Laureate's imagination knows no bounds in this action-packed adventure about a boy who can create maps to transport himself into imaginary worlds... Dragonrider age 10 * https://toppsta.com/books/details/381721/which-way-to-anywhere#reviews *Magical worlds as only Cressida Cowell can. With a colourful cast of goodies and baddies, this is an epic start to a new series * The Bookseller *

When her two big sisters embark on an adventure to explore a mysterious island, the youngest one doesn’t want to be left behind. Book SynopsisHaving a brother or sister can be tough. It can also be great, but it's hard to see the great parts with so many bad parts getting in the way. Problems like fighting and bossing. Teasing and jealousy. Tattling. Pestering. And more. But what if you could do something about those problems? Clear them away? Then you'd be able to actually enjoy your siblings! This indispensable guide from best-selling author Dr. Dawn Huebner speaks directly to children ages 9-12, teaching skills to help them manage feelings and resolve conflicts, strengthening the bonds between brothers and sisters.Warm, witty, and packed with practical strategies, this interactive book is the complete resource for educating, motivating, and empowering siblings to live in peace.Trade ReviewThis warm and witty book about how siblings can deal with each other in the best possible ways is a real winner...there are lots of good, humorous line drawings of all the things being explained. This book is a practical and useful way of dealing with siblings in all their various life situations and a good way of solving the perennial problem of kids not getting on. -- Healthy BooksOnce again, Dawn Huebner provides invaluable and brilliant advice for children, parents, and therapists. This book on sibling dynamics fills a major void and is a must-have for any child with a sibling. It will enjoy a spot in my office alongside the rest of Dr. Huebner's fantastic books. -- Kari Groff MD, NYC Child Psychiatrist, Author, and SpeakerSibling conflict is one of the most challenging parts of parenting. The Sibling Survival Guide helps parents not only survive these battles but use them to help their kids thrive. Huebner provides strategies to reduce conflict and build skills, giving children a greater capacity to navigate all relationships well. -- Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D., LCSW, co-author of 'The Whole-Brain Child' & 'No-Drama Discipline'Packed with practical guidance pitched just right for school-age children, Dr. Huebner's Sibling Survival Guide fills a critical need in the literature. The book avoids feeling preachy while inviting children into more effective ways of living with irksome siblings. Those who know Huebner's other work will immediately recognize her practical wisdom, warmth and humor. Those who don't are in for a treat. A must-have for anyone who lives or works with siblings who squabble. -- Eileen Kennedy-Moore, PhD, author of 'Growing Friendships' (for kids) and 'Kid Confidence' (for parents)One of the advantages I found as a classroom teacher working with children and young people is that the 'difficult stuff' like astronomy, physics, chemistry, aspects of PSHE or history gets pre-simplified by an expert who can make such subjects approachable, engaging and appropriately humorous. Dawn Huebner's Sibling Survival Guide is one such book and set to be an invaluable resource. Her strategies and suggestions are pragmatic and workable. Her tone's accessible to her target audience of ten- to twelve-year-olds without ever being patronising - often really tricky when writing for a 'tween' or teen audience. Arguably a mature nine-year-old or anyone in their early to mid-teens, with siblings, can gain hugely from this book. Similarly an only child could just as easily learn much about compromise, sharing, negotiation and cooperation from Dawn's expertise. I like that she alludes to Learning Theory: giving interested readers the opportunity to satisfy themselves Huebner knows what she's talking about in a world where children and young people (quite rightly) are encouraged to fact check and question much of what they're presented as 'expert opinion'. Throughout the book Dawn gives her parent and guardian readers useful tips to steer them away from being the referee of their children's bickering, disputes and arguments. This is all together a thoroughly useful volume: combining positive thinking with logical, workable strategies to reward constructive behaviour and so effect the change one would like to see. One of the other advantages of reading books aimed at children which need to be read beforehand by the adults giving them out is that you can gain an awful lot of helpful advice about your own thinking: encouraging quiet reflection on how you manages your own sibling relationships. Basically when you cannot change your sibling's behaviour: change your own. Then theirs changes. It's sound thinking and Dawn Huebner's written a handy book of wise words ...well worth the investment -- Jonathan Charlesworth, Author of Jessica Kingsley Publishers’ “How To Stop Homophobic and Biphobic Bullying: A Practical Whole School Approach” (2020)This warm and witty book about how siblings can deal with each other in the best possible ways is a real winner...there are lots of good, humorous line drawings of all the things being explained. This book is a practical and useful way of dealing with siblings in all their various life situations and a good way of solving the perennial problem of kids not getting on. -- Healthy Books
