If I Can't Dance I Don't Want to be Part of Your Revolution Maquillage as Meditation Carmelo Bene and the
Book SynopsisPartly a script, partly a personal voyage into the psyche of diseducation, this book happens, has : happened and will happen on the 31st of October in a place called 'The Palace of Melancholy'. In this temporal and spatial loop, the figure of Italian actor, author, director, philosopher, and public persona Carmelo Bene is summoned to hopefully be dismissed once and for all. Bene is looked at by the author reluctantly and yet resolutely through inner voices of dissent, shame and rebellion. He is imagined in gatherings that didn't happen and read through an epistemology of contradiction. In Giannini's company and support, Snejanka Mihaylova, Jacopo Miliani, and Arnisa Zeqo probe the walls of the Palace, looking for an exit.

If I Can't Dance I Don't Want to be Part of Your Revolution Stories of Wounds and Wonder
Book SynopsisThis experimental children's book narrates cross-species practices of survival across the Indonesian archipelago, centring the perspectives of local animals such as endangered monkeys, cosmopolitan rats, migrant sparrows and fugitive dogs. Written in the form of a play, : its six episodes ground the readers in the animals' struggles and aspirations as they go about their daily lives and face the consequences of postcolonial erasure, ecological destruction and capitalist expansion. While the stories unfold, their interconnected existences become an archive of uncertainties, where the fate of many different creatures, humans included, is inseparable from each other. As a script for intergenerational transmission, the book thoughtfully combines dialogues, songs and drawings, with contextualising essays and extensive notations. Through these different modes of reading, children and adults alike will learn about cross-species solidarity and rebellious movements, but also about disappearing Indigenous cosmologies, and the brave women who wove cloths around the mountains in eco-political resistance.

Book SynopsisWe design for life, death and posterity, all together - while understanding who and/or what is permissible to kill or let die. We try to understand why water is a false dragon and how it gives and takes life. We are encouraged to do some push-ups. We rearrange things made of more things, we steal them and we question their economic value, trying to make sense of it in the process. We dance Kumbia and listen to the earth with the people who work under and on it.

Crackers Katrin The Tale of a Young Writer
Book SynopsisKatrin. The Tale of a Young Writer is a novel by the artist Unica Zürn (Berlin 1916Paris 1970). It was written in 1953, although it would never be published in her lifetime. This is the first translation of the tale from German into English. Zürn tells the story of fifteen-year-old motherless Katrin, an aspiring writer, who lives with her father, also a writer. The novel is set in an imaginary world, a metropolis called Linit, split into three levels: Oberstadt (Hightown), Mittelstadt (Middletown) and Unterstadt (Lowtown), overlooked by a Volcano where the artists live and crossed by the river Emil. Presented as a book for children, apparently written for her own daughter (named Katrin), Katrin also draws on the personal biography of Zürn herself, in terms of her relationship with her father and the city of Berlin after WWII, and her experience with people on the margins of a society characterised by great tensions.

Meadow Vista Publishing Promiscuous Infrastructures Practicing Care
Book SynopsisPromiscuous Infrastructures brings together more than twenty contributorsart and social practitioners, researchers, and educatorswho have been researching and writing about caring infrastructures and promiscuous care for the past several years. This interdisciplinary publication comprises essays, visual schematics and scores, personal letters, recipes, and conversations, which emerge from the work of the Promiscuous Care Study Group, situated around the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Promiscuous Infrastructures calls for an ethics of care and attentiveness to one another within and beyond the shared context of a structurally dispassionate institution that requires innovation, expediency, and accountable results. The promiscuity it explores is defined by a collective refusal of efficiency, and favors generosity, care, love, and attention. Together, the group and their interlocutors address themes ranging from institutional change, communal responsibility and accountability practices, mental health and collective care, hospitality and hosting, soil, counter-histories, intergenerational learning, joy and collective grief and the poetics of imagining otherwise.
