You know what you like to drink-but what's next?Expert mixologist and James Beard Award-winning editorial director of Milk Street J.M. Hirsch has the answer in Pour Me Another, where every recipe helps you choose your next drink.* Consider the rum Mojito. If that's your go-to, you might not consider yourself a bourbon drinker. Pour Me Another guides you to a gin Bijou, which brings in Manhattan-like notes. Then try a Vieux Carré, with herbal notes atop peppery rye. Soon you're sipping a Mexican Vieux Carré, which uses tequila for a similar rich and spicy effect. * If a Gin & Tonic is more your speed, head toward tropical territory with a gingery Lime in de Coconut. Like that one? Go for a Coconut-Lime Daiquiri next. * Everyone loves a Margarita, but have you tried the Manhattan-inspired La Rosita? * Discover the versatility of vodka with a cousin to the Martini, in the botanical Stupid Cupid. No matter your taste or liquor of choice, Pour Me Another guides you to a new world of drinks you'll love. Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers Inc Tiffin: 500 Authentic Recipes Celebrating India's Regional Cuisine
There are more varieties of cooking in India than in the rest of the entire world, yet American cookbooks tend to focus only on what's familiar here. Tiffin encompasses recipes from across the continent, where flavors vary from coconut and tamarind to curry and masala and everything in between. In the West, the cuisine is influenced by Portuguese flavors and the sea, with rich crab curries. In the North, meat dishes, such as tandori chicken and mutton stew, warm the body on a cold Himalayan night. Delhi is known for street delicacies such as flat breads and kababs. And throughout the country are Persian, Thai, and British influences as well.A tiffin is a traditional Indian lunch pail that holds homemade curries, vegetables, rice, and spicy meats. Our expansive cookbook open it up to show the diverse flavors from all of the regions of India, from spicy fish curries to rich dumplings to spring rolls to butter chicken. The 500 recipes are organized by region and then into subcategories of meats, seafood, vegetarian, and desserts. With vibrant illustrations that represent the regional style and mouth-watering photography of the dishes, Indian cooking has never been more accessible or well-respresented.

Rowman & Littlefield Moitessier: A Sailing Legend
In 1968 during the Golden Globe, the first solo non-stop race around the world, Bernard Moitessier sent the following message with a slingshot onto the deck of a freighter, 'I am continuing ...' With this unbelievable decision to turn his back on glory and money, when he had victory in his grasp, and continue sailing to the Pacific Islands after seven months at sea, he became a guru for all small boat sailors. Jean-Michel Barrault was his friend for 36 years. He met him when Moitessier, having survived two shipwrecks, went to Paris in search of work. He got him to start writing about his adventures, which Moitessier did beautifully. More adventures followed, a trip from Tahiti to Spain via Cape Horn as a honeymoon. After finishing 'The Long Way', his most famous book, Moitessier and Joshua, his 39-foot ketch spent many years in Polynesia where he built his own house, planted coconut trees and transformed his atoll into a speck of green in the middle of the South Pacific. He lived in the United States for a time, lost his boat in Cabo San Lucas during a hurricane, and spent his last years in France, where he wrote his memoirs. Shortly before his death, Tamata and the Alliance was published to great acclaim. Moitessier, the internationally known sailor, writer and ecologist, became a legend in his own time.

Amazon Publishing Palm Trees in the Snow
At once an epic family drama and a sweeping love story that spans both an ocean and a generation, Palm Trees in the Snow is an emotionally gripping and historically vivid tale of the secrets that can destroy a family—and the bonds that endure. When Clarence of Rabaltué discovers a series of old letters from her father’s past, she begins to doubt everything she thought she knew about her once-noble family. Her father and his brother worked in the colony of Fernando Po, but these letters tell a different story than the tales of life in Africa that made it to the dinner table. Clarence has no idea what really went on during their time at the cocoa plantations—or why no one in her family has ever returned to the island in all the years since. But the letters suggest that a great love story is buried beneath the years of silence. Setting out from her home in Spain’s snowy mountains, Clarence makes the same journey across the sea that her uncle and father traveled before her. There, she unlocks the painful secrets her family has hidden in the rich African soil. But what she discovers may also be the key to awakening her own listless heart.

Coach House Books Wide Slumber for Lepidopterists
Book, or laboratory? Reader, or specimen? Wide slumber for lepidopterists is a poetic fantasia, a disorienting yet compelling dreamscape of butterflies and caterpillars and killing jars, where the waking mind's prose transforms into the sleeper's poetry. Each poem unfolds with precision, tracking the stages of sleep and pairing them with the life cycle of Lepidopterae. Insomnia is mirrored in the birth of the egg, narcolepsy in larval hatching. And when the caterpillar starts its final moult, dreams begin, weaving around us as tightly as a cocoon until we are somnambulant, a chrysalis ready to emerge as a moth. Reading the act of sleep through pupae and moths seems incongruous, but from this unlikely premise comes a darkly erotic text that takes cues from the scientific fascination of Christopher Dewdney, the linguistic experimentation of Gertrude Stein and the aural environments of Bjork to explore science, sexuality and language in equal parts. Wide slumber for lepidopterists contains luminous illustrations by artist and bookmaker Matt Ceolin, who has managed to capture the spirit of the poems with his beautiful and disturbing treated photographs of butterflies, moths and dessication.
