The anthology titled "Spacetime Energy: A Twenty First Century Perspective" encompasses novel and avant garde ideas that delineate the intrinsic nature of spacetime and several of its aspects. The collection of papers epitomises the fundamental aspects of the physical world. For instance, the authors have considered the affine connection between gravitation and electromagnetism. The non-commutative nature of spacetime has also been elaborated in connection with gravitation and electromagnetism and also in terms of monopoles. On the other hand, the rudimentary nature of the zero point field or the field of the vacuum has also been considered to describe the 2-state asymmetries that are found in nature. Several interesting models have been considered to get a novel perspective on the nature of the universe we live in; the importance of dark energy has been implied therein. The authors have also considered the phenomenon of photoelectric effect in case of grapheme and other similar crystals. A new formula has also been found for the conductance in case of carbon nano tubes. Ultra-high energy fermionic behaviour has been elaborately discussed from a novel perspective and the anomalous gyromagnetic ratio of the electron has also been elucidated on the pedestal of the noncommutative nature of spacetime. Van 1392 tot 1578 heeft Amsterdam een groep kloosterlingen geherbergd die de statuten van de kartuizers hebben nageleefd in hun klooster Sint-Andries-ter-Zaliger-Haven. De kartuis kent zijn grootste bloei in de eerste helft van de vijftiende eeuw, ongetwijfeld mede dankzij de geest van de Moderne Devotie. Later raakt de kartuizerorde ook in Amsterdam over haar hoogtepunt heen, en wanneer rond 1520 de Reformatie deze streken bereikt, heeft het klooster het grootste deel van zijn aantrekkingskracht op de bevolking verloren. Desondanks blijft het kartuizerklooster bestaan, tot het einde wordt ingeluid met plunderingen in de jaren zestig van de zestiende eeuw. Aan het hieropvolgende kwijnende bestaan maakt de Alteratie van 1578 een eind. Er is geen bron uit het kloosterarchief die dergelijke evoluties beter in kaart helpt te brengen dan het manuscript dat in de onderzoeksliteratuur de titel Liber benefactorum heeft gekregen. Dit middeleeuwse ‘weldoenersboek’, vandaag bewaard in het Stadsarchief van Amsterdam, wordt in deze publicatie uitgegeven. The author publishes 157 tax receipts and other texts from Thebes in Early Ptolemaic Egypt (332-200 BC), including 102 Demotic texts and 55 Greek or bilingual texts. 113 texts are published here for the first time, and the others were previously only partially published or have been substantially reread. The first six chapters contain text editions organized by tax category. Short essays introduce each category, and in several cases reinterpret them. The text editions include facsimile drawings together with transliterations and translations. Photographs are appended for all but 21 of the texts that are known only from facsimiles. The seventh chapter summarizes the careers of the scribes and officials, including attestations outside tax receipts, and distinguishes two different career patterns. The eighth chapter discusses the taxpayers known from multiple tax receipts, and how modern collectors acquired and dispersed these ancient archives. Full indexes complete the volume.
