New Heroes & Pioneers The Weekender: Singapore
The Marina Bay Sand, the Changi Jewel and the fast-paced, high-rise city are what immediately comes to one's mind about Singapore. This is 'The Weekender's' first flight into the Asia Pacific region and this issue will present Singapore in a different and more laid-back perspective than you might be used to. However, it will still showcase the iconic architecture and landmarks that juxtapose with a melting pot of diverse heritages/cultures and remnants of the city-state's colonial past. And at the same, this issue explores the blurred boundaries between the old and the new, the hardscapes and the softscapes. From starting the weekend with breakfast at a local enclave, rich in history and culture, to wandering the grounds of the UNESCO Heritage listed Botanical Gardens and then ending the day sipping a cocktail along Keong Siak Road, a trendy neighbourhood littered with eateries and bars, Matthew aspires for the book to bring about a more local and intimate experience of what the city-state has to offer for a weekend getaway or a pit-stop to explore the rest of region. Whilst the flow of the book will incorporate the weekend trajectory, the mixture of content will mean that a reader is both influenced by Matthew's imagery of the city, without explicitly having to follow a specific route but allow them to adventure at will.

New Heroes & Pioneers ZANNIER HOTELS: A journey through Style, People and Experiences
The Zannier Hotel was born from the idea that, it was time to rethink our approach to travel and luxury hospitality by presenting an authentic cultural experience. The first hotel, Le Chalet, opened its doors in Megève in 2011 and set the tone – understated elegance in a tranquil setting, inviting togetherness and encouraging wholesome experiences. Founder and CEO, Arnaud Zannier, continues to hone the recipe that makes up the signature offering of both the hotels and residences: a focus on all the seemingly minor details that ultimately make for an unforgettable stay. The establishments across Europe, Africa and Asia are designed to nourish body, mind and soul. This book captures the earthy tones and raw natural environment that encompasse Omaanda lodge in the middle of the Namibian savanna and Sonop lodge in the Namib dessert; it evokes the sights and sounds of the rice paddy fields leading to Phum Baitang resort in Cambodia and activates palettes ready to taste the diversity of world flavours in traditional kitchen settings – from Menorca’s Nonna Bazaar to Bãi San Hô beach resort in Vietnam.

New Heroes & Pioneers Swimming Pools
We are returning to the world created by Maria Svarbova to deliver a comprehensive collection of her work around this photographer's biggest concept - Swimming Pools. In the initial set of images, we see models frozen in the composition, the swimmers are as smooth and cold as the pools tiles. The colours softly vibrate in a dream-like atmosphere. However, despite the retro setting, the pictures somehow evoke a futuristic feeling as well, as if they were taken somewhere completely alien. We now observe different strands of thematic content stemming from this original concept. Female empowerment, a more intimate view and relationship between models and the space around them and also Maria's artistic expression of movements in feminism and the BLM movement.

New Heroes & Pioneers The Art of Hat-Making: Italian craftsmanship from the Cervo Valley
Cappellificio Cervo is to the world of millinery what the analog camera is to the world of photography: a place of return to fine art and inimitable craftsmanship. It is the artistic integrity of this historic institution dating back to 1897, that photographer Giovanni Previdi has documented so beautifully in How to Make a Hat. This book takes its readers on a journey through Italian fashion history - hat-making history, to be exact - and all through the lens of his SX-70 Polaroid camera. Previdi spent several weeks following the ins and outs of the company's hat-making process, focusing his camera on the ritual of seemingly simple gestures at the hand of makers whose craft was honed over generations. All this, in the picturesque Cervo valley of the Biella province, where the pure water plays an important role in the making of both ordinary and high fashion hats. Capturing the essence of the textures and colour intensities found in the natural fibres used to create unique pieces, The book reflects on the importance of reembracing quality and durability to counter the global fast fashion, like his Polaroids, Previdi highlights the art of patience and perfection to confront conveyor-belt philosophies.

New Heroes & Pioneers Reality, Curated
This book presents a selection of works from Valentina Loffredo's first and ongoing series "As for me, I'm very little". The photography plays on the tension between perfectly staged sets, composed through the use of geometry, blocks of colours and negative space and the constant, often ironic, presence of a little detail out of place. Charming and captivating, this photography makes us look beyond the initial appearance of things. Through witty allusions, playful compositions and whimsical props, familiar elements take on different shapes, evolve and engage in a conversation about possibility. Fun, quirky and full of intrigue, Valentina Loffredo's work is wonderful to study and a great accompaniment to any art book collection.

New Heroes & Pioneers Momentum
In our latest Collective Shorts series, photographer Aaron Tilley explores the notion of narratives and storytelling through carefully constructed and captured still images. Executed in a manner that is playful, yet driven with tension, Tilley's photography exacts an anticipation of the moment that is about to happen. Momentum is a collection of some of Tilley's best work to date. His photography continuously captivates the viewer, leading us to something perhaps unexpected, out of context or that may cause us some unease but in a fun and highly-dramatic way. The aesthetic is bold and well-designed with each image portraying a story at a paused point in time allowing the narrative of the image to be interpreted by the viewer. With this, the viewer should enjoy the surreal element to the work and embrace this style presented throughout the book.

New Heroes & Pioneers Quietudes: 2020
"There's a lot of dualities at play in photography. In my practice, I reflect over the tension between observing and engaging, to be distant and close, to contemplate and communicate - and my camera functions as a tool to explore those borders, and to search for a place in-between." Scandinavian photographer photographer and designer, Daniel Zachrisson, composes images that create a sense of tension with one another whilst encompassing a variety of subject matter. This book features a series of photographs that are unconventionally connected through their disparate themes. With a carefully curated colour palate, this collection takes us from isolated landscapes to charismatic urban scenes. Along the way, there are a series of people who are caught in deeply personal or busier moments, yet, in either setting, there is a feeling of uncertainty around the situations and in what state the characters appear in these.

Most of us own a collection of recipe books and some of them are very familiar to us, part of our kitchen stapples even. But how do all the chefs come up with those recipes? What are their inspirations and how do they bring them to life? Chef Tal Spiegel book - This is not a recipe book - takes you through creativity and culinary exploration, into a finalized creation. With over 15 years of experience in design and patisserie, Spiegel will give you a glimpse into how his brain works, and how simple ideas are developed into concepts and creations. "I want to teach people not only how to make my creations, but mainly to inspire them to create their own by learning to develop their own creative process" - Tal Spiegel In his works, Spiegel combines the design codes he acquired over the years and applies them to the world of patisserie with an emphasis on colours, structure and composition. Tal Spiegel is a Paris-based pastry chef, originally from Tel Aviv. In his work, Spiegel teaches masterclasses around the world, and creates conceptual desserts for brands that have a keen emphasis on design and creativity. New Heroes & Pioneers SHARE Lagom: Pocket Editions
Lagom is a uniquely Swedish term that doesn't have an English equivalent (Which I find to be pretty common, the Swedish language has denser words that the English language usually uses two or three words to describe.) Not only does it not translate perfectly but its just a very Swedish idea, or feeling. A popular etymological translation is "around the team" meaning enough food or drink for everyone at the table, this translation is said to go back to Viking times. Lagom is "Just enough," "Not too much or too little," "Just right," "Enough to go around," "Fair share." It indicates balance. Lagom doesn't have the negative connotation of "sufficient" nor does it claim perfection SHARE LAGOM contains 50 inspired artworks carefully selected amongst the best up-and-coming first time published artists. Following the success of SHARE Vol. 1 &2 this third installment combines the winning concept of high quality prints on perforated pages with the trendy theme of Lagom. Each featured artist presents a single piece of work along with companion text in a two page format.
