This selection of evocative images taken by London-based photographerLaura Lewisis the counterpart toGold Panda's highly acclaimed recent album of the same name. The pair set out to capture the rich sounds, moods and colours of suburban Japan that they had fallen in love with during a trip in 2014. While getting out of a taxi in Hiroshima, the driver gave them the parting farewell of good luck and do your best; a rough translation of the Japanese phrase gabatte, kudasai. Struck by the phrase,this became both the title and the linchpin for the project.
