Na`ama Sheffi beschäftigt sich mit einer seiner herausragenden Erscheinungen: der Übersetzung deutschsprachiger Werke ins Hebräische und deren Rezeption sowie der unmittelbaren Wirkung deutscher Vorbilder auf die Schaffung eines modernhebräischen Literaturkorpus.Den Anfang bildeten bereits im späten 18. Jahrhundert in Europa die Übertragung von Werken, die dem Geist der jëdischen Aufklärung verpflichtet waren. Auch noch vor der Genese des Zionismus als nationalem Projekt intensivierte sich die Übersetzungstätigkeit ungeachtet des kleinen Leser- und Verlegerkreises sowie zahlreicher technischer Hindernisse. Fast 800 Werke der verschiedensten Genres - Romane, Dramen, Sachbëcher, Kinder- und Jugendliteratur - wurden während des untersuchten Zeitraums aus dem Deutschen ins Hebräische ëbertragen. Hinzu kommen noch mehrere hundert in Zeitschriften erschienene Gedichte, Prosastëcke und Essays. Deshalb entstand im Haus der Technik die Idee, diese Thematik parallel zur mechanischen Fahrwerkstechnik einmal zusammenfassend zu behandeln. Es soll ein Überblick vermittelt werden, welche Arbeitsgebiete bereits sehr weitgehend bearbeitet worden sind und wo in der Zukunft noch mehr Entwicklungsarbeiten zu leisten sein werden. In der ersten Veranstaltung dieser Art habe ich deshalb versucht, Referenten zu gewinnen, die die verschiedenen Fahrwerkselemente sowohl im Detail als auch im Überblick - wo stehen wir heute - darstellen können. Den Referenten danke ich sehr für ihre Beiträge. Es werden sowohl Einzelaggregate bzw. Systeme, die unmittelbar im Fahrwerk wieder­ zufinden sind, behandelt, wie auch darüber hinausgehende Themen wie z.B. neue Logikansätze, qualitätssichernde Maßnahmen und funktionale Integrationsmöglichkeiten von Fahrwerksystemen. Das scheinen heute zwar noch Randthemen zu sein, nur werden die nächsten Entwicklungsarbeiten sich gerade hier konzentrieren. Die wirtschaftliche Umsetzung der modernen Fahrwerksysteme wird durch differenzierende Logiken, kostensenkende Integrationen und konstruierte Qualität möglich sein. Das konventionelle Einzelsystem allein hat, wie uns die Beispiele derVergangenheit immerwieder schmerzhaft zeigen, auf dem Markt keine großen Chancen. Deshalb möge die Tagung im Haus der Technik und dieses Buch als Gemeinschaftswerk einer größeren Zahl von Fahrzeugentwicklern dazu beitragen, daß wir die gemeinsamen Ziele besser erkennen. Wir können unsere Arbeiten anschließend zum Nutzen unserer Kunden wahrscheinlich sogar zweckmäßiger koordinieren.
