The starting point is a comparison between the work of Tracey Karima Emin and He Chengyao. Kwan Kiu Leung demonstrates why their work constitutes not only the self, but they practice an ontological identification relationship between subjectivity and artwork that exhibits three aspects of their subjectivity: performativity, visibility, and univocity.
