Birkhauser Mies van der Rohe – The Built Work
This essential and comprehensive Mies monograph focuses in its analysis on Mies’ design intentions: it reconstructs the buildings in their original state, examines them from the present day persepctive and rediscovers the inspiring architecture of a great modern master. The book presents eighty of Mies’ works in chronological order. Approximately thirty of these works are analyzed in detail in three parts. In the first part, the construction is documented in its built state; for this all the ground plans were redrawn by the author. The second part outlines the changes to the buildings and the third part develops the results of this investigation with regard to their relevance to the contemporary view of Mies’ work.

Birkhauser Walter Gropius: Buildings and Projects
As founder of the Bauhaus school, Walter Gropius (1883–1969) is one of the icons of 20the century architecture. While his early buildings in Pomerania were still strongly marked by his teacher Peter Behrens, after an expressionistic phase focused on handicraft, he ultimately arrived at geometric abstraction. During the entire period he collaborated with other architects, founding the collective known as "The Architects Collaborative" in the US. The comprehensive monograph documents all 74 of the known buildings by Gropius that were realized, including many early works which he never publicized; but it also critically examines his unbuilt projects. The book is illustrated with new photographs by the author, historical figures, and with as new plans drawn by the author.

Birkhauser Hans Scharoun: Buildings and Projects
Hans Scharoun is one of the most important architects of the 20th century; as a proponent of organic architecture, he created unconventional and imaginative buildings which adapt to users’ needs in a dynamic way. His oeuvre includes family residences and housing estates but also encompasses the German embassy in Brazil, and urban icons such as the Berlin Philharmonie. The book, a cooperation with Baukunstarchiv (the architecture archive) of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, documents the entire range of known completed buildings by Scharoun, including, for the first time, early works in East Prussia. The specially taken photographs by Carsten Krohn, together with the historic photographs and plans from the Hans-Scharoun-Archive offer a new overview of this expressive organic architecture.

Birkhauser Erich Mendelsohn: Bauten und Projekte
Erich Mendelsohn (1887–1953) was one of the most versatile architects of the 20th century. This comprehensive monograph documents all 70 of Mendelsohn's known completed buildings through text and images. In two essays, it also looks at his unbuilt projects. A newly compiled catalogue raisonné lists all of his works. The publication also contains numerous new photographs by Carsten Krohn, newly drawn plans and historical illustrations.

DOM Publishers Monterrey: Architectural Guide/Guía de arquitectura
Monterrey means mountain king, a name befitting its location surrounded by the Sierra Madre in north-eastern Mexico. It was founded in 1596 near the natural springs of Santa Lucia, a luscious oasis in an otherwise arid landscape. Its colonial beginnings are still visible in the architecture of the Barrio Antiguo district in the city centre. In the late 19th century, industrial development transformed the modest town into a flourishing, modern city. Its foundries and breweries reflect its industry, while its skyscrapers, universities, churches, and monuments designed by celebrated Mexican modernist architects like Mario Pani, Enrique de la Mora, Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, and Luis Barragán reflect its modernity. Today, Monterrey is an important cultural, educational, medical, and business metropolis with buildings by Ricardo Legorreta, Nicholas Grimshaw, and Tadao Ando. Its fast growing residential, corporate, and commercial developments feature designs by Norman Foster, Cesar Pelli, Zaha Hadid , and Alejandro Aravena. This book presents the role of architecture in the continuous transformation of this city.
