Dabei kreuzte sich die Entwicklung der Lehenrechtsgesetzgebung mit der unter anderem als "Mobilisierung der Immobilien" beschriebenen Entstehung des modernen Immobiliarsachenrechts, weil der Lehennehmer nach althergebrachten Grundsätzen in seiner Verfügungsfreiheit über das Lehenobjekt beschränkt war. Den hierdurch hervorgerufenen Wechselwirkungen geht diese Untersuchung im Rahmen der Frage nach, in welchem Ausmaß und zu welchen Konditionen die Lehenrechtsgesetzgebung Bayerns, Badens, Württembergs und Hessen-Darmstadts den lehenrechtlich gebundenen Grundeigentümer von seinen Verfügungsbeschränkungen befreite.
