AN UNFORGETTABLE NEW LOVE STORY THAT WILL MAKE YOU CRY, BREAK YOUR HEART, AND PIECE IT BACK TOGETHER ----The boy who couldn't love and the girl who wouldn't.Ginny Murphy is a total guy's girl. She's always found friendships with boys easier to form and keep drama-free - as long as they don't fall for her, and she doesn't fall for them. She and her best guy friends have stuck to that. But then she meets Adrian Silvas, the only one who's ever made her crave more, and Ginny begins to question her own rules.Piece by piece, Ginny and Adrian begin to fall into something intoxicating, something dangerous. Ginny threatens to destroy the belief Adrian's held ever since witnessing his own mother's heartbreak: that love isn't worth the risk. For Ginny, the stakes could be even higher. Letting Adrian get close could mean exposing a secret she's long protected: her disordered eating.Ginny isn't looking to be saved by someone. But maybe she and Adrian can help each other - if they don't destroy each other first.Heartfelt and evocative, Guy's Girl is a powerful story about true love, self-love, and growing up.

Archaeopress Set in Stone?: War Memorialisation as a Long-Term and Continuing Process in the Uk, France and the USA
This book provides a holistic and longitudinal study of war memorialisation in the UK, France and the USA from 1860 to 2014. Moving beyond the social-political circumstances of a memorial’s construction, this study examines memorialisation as a continuing and transformative process. It explores the many ways in which war memorials are repeatedly appropriated, and re-appropriated, undergoing both physical and symbolic transformations. In order to study this full range of transformations, this book presents a unique analytical model that conceptualises objects of memory within three intersecting timescales: the chronological timescale, the conflict timescale and the object timescale. This new methodology facilitates an innovative, holistic approach of understanding engagement with a monument at any given moment in time, allowing meaningful comparisons to be made across both spatial and cultural boundaries. In doing so, it enables an approach to the cultural heritage conflict that moves beyond the socio-political to conceptualise war memorials within a shared cultural experience.

Simon & Schuster Something Close to Magic
A baker’s apprentice reluctantly embarks on an adventure full of magic, new friendships, and a prince in distress in this “appealingly breezy” (Kirkus Reviews) and “deftly written” (School Library Journal, starred review) young adult fantasy that’s perfect for fans of Margaret Rogerson and Gail Carson Levine. It’s not all sugar and spice at Basil’s Bakery, where seventeen-year-old Aurelie is an overworked, underappreciated apprentice. Still, the job offers stability, which no-nonsense Aurelie values highly, so she keeps her head down and doesn’t dare to dream big—until a stranger walks in and hands her a set of Seeking stones. In a country where Seeking was old-fashioned even before magic went out of style, it’s a rare skill, but Aurelie has it. The stranger, who turns out to be a remarkably bothersome bounty hunter named Iliana, asks for Aurelie’s help rescuing someone from the dangerous Underwood—which sounds suspiciously like an adventure. When the someone turns out to be Prince Hapless, the charming-but-aptly-named prince, Aurelie’s careful life is upended. Suddenly, she finds herself on a quest filled with magic portals, a troll older than many trees (and a few rocks), and dangerous palace intrigue. Even more dangerous are the feelings she’s starting to have for Hapless. The more time Aurelie spends with him, the less she can stand the thought of going back to her solitary but dependable life at the bakery. Must she choose between losing her apprenticeship—or her heart?
