Max Mannheimer (* 1920) survived the Holocaust as a Jew in a concentration camp. His moving life history has been published in several books in different languages. However, few people are aware of his paintings, which were created under his Hebrew name “ben jakov”. This volume assembles a selection of 70 of his works. Max Mannheimer’s oeuvre follows his poetic motto “I marry colours”.
