Quart Publishers Koepfli Partner: Landschaftsarchitekten, Landscape Architects
Stefan Koepfli is one of the most important landscape architects in Switzerland, with projects including the multi-award winning Eulachpark in Winterthur and the factory extension for Baumgartner AG in Cham-Hagendorn. Often, the inspiration for and starting point of his designs are referential experiences and impressions of existing natural environments and landscapes, which are transformed on new ground, thereby becoming poetic expressions. The book impressively reflects in images, plans and texts on 25 of the most important works, from the smallest garden to the large-scale park.

Quart Publishers Vincent Mangeat: Logos and Faber
Vincent Mangeat became internationally renowned in1988 following the construction of his building for the Cantonal High School in Nyon. Influenced by his work experience in Paris, training under Jean Prouve and a spell as Assistant to Hans Brechbuhler and Pierre Foretay at the EPF Lausanne, Mangeat s work bridges the gap between two architectural eras, namely the Tessin Tendenza of the '70s and '90s architectural styles with their exponents in the German-speaking region of Switzerland. But his work has always remained independent and rooted in western Switzerland. From his first residential building in Evolene (1969) to his current projects, including a house for writers at the foot of the Jura mountains, his wealth of architectural achievements form an important a part of his life and work as his permanent, valuable teaching activity. Text in English, French and German. 400 colour illustrations

Quart Publishers Durisch Nolli: De Aedibus 42

Quart Publishers Lineage and Legacy: A Certain Modernism in Cadaqués
This book investigates a particular kind of architecture that thrived in the 1950s in Cadaqués, a small Spanish fishing village on the Costa Brava. It explores a number of holiday houses built between the mid-1950s and 1960s by a group of architects who shared bonds of friendship and architectural affinities, as well as connections with the international Modern movement (including José Antonio Coderch, Lluís Clotet, Federico Correa, Alfonso Milá, Oscar Tusquets, Manuel Valls). Observations on the common threads that link eight case studies are enriched by a photographic essay by David Grandorge and by detailed architectural drawings on a number of significant projects of the time. An interview with the authors Stephen Bates (Sergison Bates architects, London) and Fernando Villavecchia (Liebman Villavecchia Arquitectos, Barcelona) provides a background to their shared fascination with Cadaqués. A timeline contextualises the projects against the backdrop of historical events and the milestone in the lives of the clients and architects who made the village a unique locus in the history of architecture. Text in English and Spanish (Spanish in an inserted booklet).

Quart Publishers Spillmann Echsle: De aedibus 90
The Zurich architects Annette Spillmann and Harald Echsle became renowned in 2006 with their container tower for the FREITAG bag and fashion label in Zurich. Quart Publishers Atelier Scheidegger Keller: Workbook

The spectrum of the young Baden-based office Kollektiv Marudo ranges from conversion and renovation projects to large housing estates. Its founders Alexander Athanas, Ole Bühlmann and Rafael Zulauf strive to achieve sustainable architecture through the integral observation of each building task, while its innovative character never contradicts tried and trusted approaches. Instead, their architecture unfolds between the coordinates of flexibility, local and use-related specifics, and innovation, representing consistent further developments of existing qualities. One such example is the new Brühl school facility in Solothurn, which was completed in 2022: the collective was founded in 2018 after winning the project competition. With an article by Bertram Ernst. Text in English and German.

Quart Publishers Brutales Luzern: Brutalistische Architektur im Kanton Luzern
Brutales Luzern presents Brutalism in the Swiss Canton of Lucerne. In recent years, the phenomenon of Brutalism has enjoyed great international attention. The 53 portraits in this publication present the incredible diversity of this expressive architecture in the Lucerne region. It is incredible how much the relatively small region of 1,500 square kilometres has to offer. The most important buildings from the 1960s and 1970s are presented chronologically, including numerous photographs, compact, detailed information and extensively documented plans. The selection of private and public buildings, such as schools, municipal administrations, homes for the elderly, churches, monasteries, missionary and theological colleges, industrial facilities and infrastructure, is remarkable. It includes outstanding and widely appreciated buildings, as well as lesser known examples. A plan provides an overview of the buildings and an essay locates Swiss Brutalism in an architectural-historical context. The book also serves as a useful travel guide for architecture enthusiasts. Text in German.

In 2015, the semi-detached house in Esslingen was their first constructed project.
