Peeters Publishers Deuteronomy and Deuteronomic Literature: Festschrift C.H.W. Brekelmans
The volume is presented to Professor C.H.W. Brekelmans in celebration of his 75th birthday. The editors were of the opinion that there could be no better way to honour Chris Brekelmans than with a collection of articles treating the "Deuteronomic" traditions found in the Book of Deuteronomy as well as in the so-called Tertrateuch, and Deuteronomistic History. In the past years, a renewed impetus has been given to the development of Deuteronomic Studies. The present Festschrift aims at contributing to the current debate which has a special interest in methodological questions regarding the identification and characterization of "Deuteronomistic" texts in the aforementioned complexes of Old Testament writings. The volume is divided into four sections. The first section offers a collection of articles which focus on the Book of Deuteronomy itself. The second section contains contributions dealing with Deuteronomic History. The third section is devoted to the relationship between the Deuteronomic - in the largest sense of the word - traditions and the Tetrateuch. The fourth and final section presents a collection of articles on a number of important issues, each of which offers its own direct or indirect contribution to the study of the Deuteronomi(sti)c literature and its relationship to the remaining texts of the Old Testament.

Peeters Publishers Florilegium Lovaniense: Studies in Septuagint and Textual Criticism in Honour of Florentino Garcia Martinez
Florilegium Lovaniense. Studies in Septuagint and Textual Criticism in Honour of Florentino Garcia Martinez is intended for a special present initiated by his Leuven collegae proximi on the occasion of Professor Garcia Martinez' retirement as a research professor in the Biblical Studies Research Department of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven). Like the personality of the celebrated scholar himself, the composition of his Festschrift has become a most colourful undertaking. After the editor's presentation of the rich biography and the huge bibliography of Florentino Garcia Martinez, M. Vervenne aims at evoking Florentino's personality throughout his life and work. Following this introduction, some thirty contributions transform the Festschrift into a wide-ranging collection of high quality approaches to a number of diverse topics, thus mirroring the wide spectrum of both Florentino's and their own work. The following scholars have contributed to this collection: H. Ausloos & B. Lemmelijn, J.-M. Auwers, R. Bieringer, E. Bons, D. Buchner, R. Ceulemans, J. Cook, H. Debel, D. De Crom, C. Dogniez, G. Dorival, K. Hauspie, M.S. Ibita, J. Joosten, M. Karrer & U. Schmid & M. Sigismund, W. Kraus, M. Labahn, J. Lust, T. Muraoka, A. Pietersma, E. Puech, J.-S. Rey, A. Schenker, R. Sollamo, J. Trebolle-Barrera, A. van der Kooij, P. Van Hecke, H. van Rooy, E. Verbeke. Each contribution has somehow to do with Textual Criticism and/or Septuagint Studies. In addition, they echo the aspects and details of the interest and work of each individual scholar. The editors sincerely hope that all these particular shades of colours might form together a wonderful rainbow, reflecting the contributors' and editors' admiration, respect and friendship for Professor Florentino Garcia Martinez.

Peeters Publishers Studies in the Book of Isaiah. Festschrift Willem A.M. Beuken
This Festschrift is offered to W.A.M. Beuken on the occasion of his sixty-fifth birthday and his retirement as Professor of Old Testament Studies at the Faculty of Theology of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Wim Beuken has dedicated much of his scholarly career to the study of one Old Testament book, the Book of Isaiah. It seemed natural, therefore, that the present volume and its editors should honour Beuken's scholarly achievements with a collection of essays devoted to the Book of Isaiah and related topics. The 28 contributions are presented under four section headings. The first section contains a series of thematically oriented studies on the Book of Isaiah as a whole. The second section focuses on the so-called Proto-Isaiah and includes contributions dealing with PI as a whole together with contributions which have concentrated on specific portions thereof. The third section includes a number of articles which address issues related to specific themes and pericopes in Deutero- and Trito-Isaiah. The fourth and final section turns its attention to questions regarding inter-textuality and the history of reception.
