‘In the Blink of an Eye’ is a compelling, poetically courageous collection of poems which evokes a long, and intensely felt, experience of life. It is full of gems of expression, emotion and thought. John wrote most of the poems in his middle thirties during a challenging time in his life. The only exception was the Preface which came to him in 2001 while he was in Australia.
