Glitterati Inc Chasing Dragons: An Uncommon Memoir in Photographs
Chasing Dragons is the magnum opus of a highly-esteemed fine art photographer unlike any that has been published before because of its distinctive presentation that includes virtually all 2D media. This stunning visual autobiography shows the artist's development over five decades, includes everything from celebrity portraiture to abstracted imagery. Features an introduction by Sam Barzilay, founder of United Photo Industries, one of the premier photography organisations in New York City. As a child, Bill Hayward traversed thousands of miles of American highway, peering out the window from the backseat of his father's 1940 Chevy. On the road, Bill and his sister, Janet, embarked upon an epic journey of the imagination, making believe they were "chasing dragons" through vast, shifting landscapes. This playful, childhood undertaking has had a profound impact on the life of the prolific, multimedia artist. For more than fifty years, Hayward has endeavoured to bring light, through his art, to the strange and wondrous forms that lie hidden beneath the surface of things, revealing what is left behind when conventions fade away. In the artist's own words, "I inhaled the essence and enchantment of play, permission, and possibility... I came to understand that the truly meaningful will be experienced outside the known world of fact and frame." Presented here is a stunning visual autobiography, chronicling more than five decades of artistic vision. Arranged in five acts, Chasing Dragons traces the evolution of Hayward's work from traditional portraiture to increasingly abstract and altered images, figurative paintings, dance, performance, and film. Join Hayward on this creative odyssey, exploring the fundamental elements of humankind and probing the mystery that lies at the core of your own being.

Glitterati Inc Lance Out Loud
Edited by internationally known photographer and visual artist, Christopher Makos. Born in 1951 Alanson Russell 'Lance' Loud was an American magazine columnist and new wave rock-n-roll performer. Loud is best known for his 1973 appearance in An American Family, a pioneer reality television series that featured his coming out, leading to his status as an icon in the gay community. However, Lance Loud was so much more than a gay icon, as witnessed here. Enlisting moving essays by each of his family members, along with Lance's friends and colleagues - such as Bobby Mayhem, David Keeps, Rufus Wainwright, and Cherry Vanilla, among others - Pat Loud has constructed, through a partnership with visual artist Makos, a moving portrait of a joyous and beloved individual. Lance Loud came to represent the gay community, and in addition, embodied the creative spirit and genius of outsider status that became the 1980s and fuelled so much of what has evolved today in our culture in terms of art, music and literature. In 2003, PBS broadcast the program, Lance Loud: A Death in an American Family, which was filmed in 2001 while visiting the family again, at the invitation of Lance before his death at age 50. As seen here, short as Lance's life was, it was a monumental one that continues to resonate to the present day.

Glitterati Inc Bitty Birds
Influenced by the exotic, lush landscapes of his childhood years in Hawaii, Hunt Slonem''s richly colored, impressionistic bird paintings are celebrated worldwide. For the first time, Slonem''s birds are collected into a single, luxurious volume. In Bitty Birds, the Louisiana-born artist pays homage to these remarkable creatures through hundreds of engaging artworks. Dramatic and vivid, Slonem''s avian subjects seem unconfined to a flat surface, brimming as they are with texture and movement. The compelling nature of these paintings lies in the tension between the birds'' ability to soar and their often captive state (though Slonem''s own birds are often spotted flying around his studio). The world-renowned artist’s vibrantly patterned canvases are a celebration and a paean to birds, sure to entice returning fans and new viewers.

Glitterati Inc Frozen in Time: Photographs
An exquisite photographic narrative chronicling a turbulent mother-daughter relationship in the serene setting of a beautiful but decrepit Maine home, Frozen in Time is at once beautiful and heart-wrenching. Sarah C. Butler's luminous photographs tell a poignant story of coming to terms with a difficult mother in a way that is both intimately personal and universally relatable.Drawn to reconnect with her mother after a long estrangement, Butler found that taking photographs of the partially restored Maine farmhouse where the older woman chose to live ultimately gave her the perspective to understand and respect her mother's choices. The images Butler made there are striking and evocative. A pair of little girls' dresses that once belonged to Butler and her sibling, which her mother kept for decades; a corner of the beloved but fading house with its foundation jacked up on a pile of rocks; a partial glimpse of her mother, present yet unknowable-- these and others reveal a complex and compelling psychological narrative. This is a book about family, distance and reconciliation, and, finally, the beauty to be found in acceptance. It is also a stunning visual tour de force that will mesmerize photography aficionados and students of family relations alike.
