La Fabrica Hysteria - The Transgression of Desire
Portraits of carnivals, storefronts, subways and other scenes of American life, recently unearthed from the archives of the avant-garde legend Since the 1970s, Catalan artist Antoni Miralda (born 1942) has created avant-garde installations, happenings and performances all over Europe and the US, most famously with his restaurant El Internacional (created with his partner, the chef Montse Guillén), which became a celebrated 1980s New York hot spot, and the FoodCulturaMuseum. Miralda has spent a large part of his career in the US, especially in the 1960s and ’70s when he traveled widely across the country and amassed a substantial oeuvre of photographs. This volume compiles these black-and-white images, recently discovered by chance in Miralda’s archives. Often comical, sometimes somber, the photographs range from shots of Easter celebrations in Brooklyn to portraits of Louisiana carnivals, scenes from Harlem, the Bronx, Kansas City, Miami, Philadelphia and elsewhere in the US, as well as photographs taken in Europe.

From the perspective of his 90 years of age, from the height of being a legend in photography, William Klein looks back and selects his favourite works, those that he considers to be the best in his whole career, in order to pay homage to photography itself. This book, not by chance titled Celebration, is a tour to his most emblematic works: unique instants captured in New York, Rome, Moscow and Paris, in powerful black and white or striking colour. A true celebration of photography. This volume also includes a text by the author in which he reflects upon photographic art and explains what prompted him to make this sort of director’s cut, this exceptionally personal selection, which brings together the works that, in his view, have made a contribution to the world of photography. A small-format but high-voltage volume that, page after page, makes it clear why Klein is one of the summits of contemporary photography.

La Fabrica Pierre Gonnord Gypsies
This is a stunning collection of images portraying Gypsy people from throughout renowned photographer Pierre Gonnord's career. Large-scale, highly detailed, and dramatically lit, with dark, blank backgrounds; noted French photographer Pierre Gonnord's images recall the paintings of Goya, Caravaggio, Velasquez and other old masters. Gonnord's subjects belong to communities on the margins of conventional society - homeless urban youth, gypsies, tattooed Japanese gang members, and others. Gonnord's art transforms each into a vision of compelling, unexpected beauty and dignity. Face to face with the viewer, these evocative, eloquent portraits are intended, says the artist, to narrate unique, remarkable stories about our era. Sometimes hostile, almost always fragile, and very often wounded behind the opacity of their masks, they represent social realities and sometimes another concept of beauty. This magnificently illustrated volume brings together images of Gypsy people - the artists most

La Fabrica Face Contact
Deriving its theme from the Interface theme of the 2011 PHotoEspana festival, Face Contact looks at the myriad registers of the human face as interpreted by photography. It sets aside the conventional category of portrait to assess the idea of photographing the face as if it were an anthropological occasion or semiotic act, rather than merely an artistic genre. Broaching this reframing of portraiture as sociology are photographers and artists such as Liliana Angulo, Ananke Asseff, Lauren Olney, Richard Lawrence, Jorge Brantmayer, Nancy Burson, Luis Camnitzer, Jeanette Chavez, Colectivo MR, Luc Fosther Diop, Eugenio Dittborn, Juan Downey, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Jerome Fortin, Shadi Ghadirian, Simryn Gill, Shilpa Gupta, Mona Hatoum, Jose Iraola, Kan Xuan, Pedro Lemebel, Cristina Lucas, Dulce Pinzon, Liliana Porter, Libia Posada, Jorge Ribalta, Yoani Sanchez, Stephanie Sinclair, Dayanita Singh, Marta Soul, Remy Zaugg, Jarbas Lopes and Giselle Victoria.
