Description

'Pietism und Neuzeit', the yearbook published since 1974 on behalf of the Historical Commission for the Study of Pietism, offers an international and (inter) disciplinary broad spectrum of cultural studies research on the history of modern Protestantism, especially Pietism in the context of European piety movements since of early modern times. In addition to studies of theology, piety and church history, there are mainly general historical studies (with a focus on social, mentality and institutional history), music and literary studies as well as medical and educational history studies. Special services are the numerous reviews and the extensive, historically and systematically structured bibliography of (on average 350) new publications. Contributions, reviews and bibliography are made accessible through person and place registers.
