    Trade Review
“This is the sixth edition of a well-known comprehensive book on pediatric neuroimaging.

The intent is to provide a comprehensive review of imaging of the pediatric nervous system. The book is purposely heavily weighted towards MRI imaging, as this is the primary modality used at many institutions

The audience is largely composed of trainees, neuroradiology fellows, and practicing radiologists in the field of pediatric neuroimaging. The book is comprehensive, well written, and easy to understand. The authors are from well-known institutions.

The book provides in-depth information on disorders affecting the nervous system in children. The topics are nicely grouped into different types of disorders, for example metabolic disorders, brain and spine injuries, and neurocutaneous disorders. The chapter on brain neoplasms is particularly well written. The material is dense, although clearly written. The book is most appropriate as a reference. Image quality is excellent and captions are appropriate.

This is a comprehensive reference for pediatric neuroimaging, and the authors indicate that many chapters have been revised due to newly recognized advances in the field. In-depth discussions of newly identified genetic factors also have been updated in many sections. This is a good point-of-care resource to have in the neuro reading room.”
