In 1955 the Scripps Foundation for Research in Population Problems conducted a survey to determine the number of pregnancies and births wives had had, the number of children wanted expected etc. In 1960 a similar study was made, and the results are presented here. Projections on births and population for the US to 1985 are presented. Originally published in 1966. The Princeton Legacy Library uses the latest print-on-demand technology to again make available previously out-of-print books from the distinguished backlist of Princeton University Press.
