  • Egyptian Star Oracle

    Rockpool Publishing Egyptian Star Oracle

    1 in stock

Book SynopsisThe Egyptian Star Oracle is the first of its kind: an oracle deck that uses only authentic Egyptian artwork, spells, translations, names, and meanings to create a divination tool that is entirely Egyptian. The Egyptian Star Oracle is not merely an “Egyptian themed” deck, it is an authentic Egyptian Oracle, utilizing astrology as it was originally practiced in 2400 BC, with all Greek, Persian, and Hebrew influences stripped away. The foundation of this deck is the astrology practiced by the ancient “star priests” of Asyut for divination and evocation of the thirty-six unwavering stars known as "decans”. The cards are packed with information, transformative energy, and ritual magic details. Seasoned readers of the classic tarot will find many parallels between the meanings of this deck and the cards of the Minor Arcana. At the core of this deck are the thirty-six decans of Egyptian astrology. Each decan represents both a specific star and a deity. These are not the same as the thirty-six decans of modern astrology, although they are connected. Produced with exceptional detail, the Egyptian Star Oracle features 42 cards printed in full-colour with gilded edges, an extensive 144-page guidebook, and comes with a small Eye of Horus charm all packaged in a sarcophagus-shaped boxed adorned with motifs of Egyptian art. Renowned occultist and best-selling author Travis McHenry has sourced all the images on these cards from ancient Egyptian artwork, including papyrus, pottery, and from the walls of tombs. The background of each card contains a snippet of texts that the author personally gathered from the Pyramid of Teti in Saqqara. Each card includes historical details, meaning, and ritual uses. This oracle set is ideal for art lovers, those fascinated with ancient Egypt, tarot historians, and collectors alike.

Collective Ink Pagan Portals - Freya: Meeting the Norse Goddess

    3 in stock

Book SynopsisThe most popular of the Norse goddesses is the Vanic deity Freya, found across the Norse myths and into modern mass media, yet often obscured by contradictory tales and external moral coding. Freya is an alluring deity of magic and fertility, a being so important in the mythology that gods and giants fought over her, yet she is never shown as a passive prize to be won only as a forceful being with agency and will of her own. Who is this powerful goddess who has left such a profound mark across not only Norse culture but also wider Western culture? Pagan Portals-Freya is a basic introduction to the Norse Goddess Freya that covers her history, mythology, associations, and modern appearances, and offers readers suggestions for how to begin connecting to Freya in their own lives.

    1 in stock

Book SynopsisThe eighteenth-century bishops of the Church of England and its sister communions had immense status and authority in both secular society and the Church. They fully merit fresh examination in the light of recent scholarship, and in this volume leading experts offer a comprehensive survey and assessment of all things episcopal between the ‘Glorious Revolution’ of 1688 and the early nineteenth-century. These were centuries when the Anglican Church enjoyed exclusive establishment privileges across the British Isles (apart from Scotland). The essays collected here consider the appointment and promotion of bishops, as well as their duties towards the monarch and in Parliament. All were expected to display administrative skills, some were scholarly, others were interested in the fine arts, most were married with families. All of these themes are discussed, and Wales, Ireland, Scotland and the American colonies receive specific examination.Table of ContentsPreface Introduction –Nigel Aston & William Gibson THE POLITICS OF CHURCH AND STATE 1. The Syriac World reminds us of the vigor and diversity that made up the culture and religion of the Middle East from Late Antiquity until today.”—Peter Brown, author of Through the Eye of a Needle“This is a marvelous gem of a book. In one short volume, we are given three thousand years of history. Readers will learn an enormous amount about Syriac literature and the history of Middle Eastern Christianity. This book is a small classic.”—Jack Tannous, author of The Making of the Medieval Middle East“The authors have provided a wonderfully readable, and beautifully illustrated, guide to the various aspects of the Syriac world: the narrative is exceptionally well informed, and the attention paid to material culture is particularly welcome. Wisdom Publications,U.S. Being Human and a Buddha Too: Longchenpa's Seven

    15 in stock

Book SynopsisIn writing that sparkles and inspires, Anne Klein (Lama Rigzin Drolma) shows us how to liberate our buddha nature to be both human and a buddha too. This first volume in the House of Adzom series centers on Longchenpa’s seven trainings in bodhicitta, our awakened mind, the ultimate purpose of our practice and training. Anne Klein’s original composition masterfully weaves in Adzom Paylo Rinpoche’s commentary and Jigme Lingpa’s five pith practices and commentary on the trainings, in keeping with Longchenpa’s skillful integration of sutra, tantra, and Dzogchen, to resolve our most challenging questions about what awakening involves and how it relates to the truth of our human situation right now. As foundational teachings for Dzogchen practitioners, the seven trainings are framed as contemplations on impermanence, the adventitiousness of happiness and its short duration, the multiple causes of death, the meaninglessness of our worldly activities, reliance on the Buddha’s good qualities, the teacher’s pith instructions, and, ultimately, nonconceptual meditation on bliss and emptiness, clarity and emptiness, and reality itself.

Book SynopsisReprint. Introduction to Bhagavad-gita is a valuable companion to any edition of the Bhagavad-gita, and every bit as informative as the book it was intended to introduce. Srila Prabhupada wrote it in 1968 as his introduction to Bhagavad-gita As It Isbefore he even knew if he''d be able to publish the entire Gitaand included within it the essence of all the Gita''s teachings. He begins the Introduction by advocating submissive aural reception as the proper mood for being able to understand the Bhagavad-gita at all. If we think the Gita is just another book, he says, we''re missing the point; its speaker, Krishna, is the Supreme Person Himself, and those who accept Him as such can get incalculable benefit from hearing His words. Introduction to Bhagavad-gita concisely explains all the Gita''s major themes, such as the difference between the self and the material body, how to prepare to leave the body at death, and how our eternal dharma (essential nature) differs from what''s known as religion.

    2 in stock

Book SynopsisWhat is the meaning of life? As human beings, we cannot avoid this most basic question of earthly existence. Is consciousness simply an accident of the universe, as modern science would claim? On the other hand, many established religions suggest that life is a one-time experience, culminating in 'eternal life' in heaven or some kind of purgatory or hell. But how could this be equitable, given people's vastly differing life circumstances? As a response to such questions, the author discusses the concept of reincarnation - the development of individual souls over multiple lifetimes. She examines the idea of fate in relation to one's occupation. What is more important: a well-paid career or finding one's true vocation? Are our 'innate' talents and abilities the result of a gene-lottery at conception, or could they be related to pre-birth existence - to our own intentions for our forthcoming life on earth? The notion of reincarnation is a prerequisite for understanding one's personal destiny or karma - a personal life plan created before our incarnation on earth. Through such ideas, the consciousness of one's immortal soul-core - our inner being, that exists both before birth and after death - can be awoken. The transcript of this enlightening talk is a stimulating introduction to contemporary perspectives on the ancient teaching of reincarnation and karma.Table of ContentsEditor's Foreword - REINCARNATION AND KARMA, Lecture given to the general public on 11 November 2015 in Basel, Switzerland - Appendix 1: From a lecture given to a private audience on 7 December 2016 in Basel, Switzerland - Appendix 2: An extract from George Ritchie's Return from Tomorrow

Book SynopsisA modern guide to the transformative practice of silent illumination from Chan Buddhist teacher Rebecca Li.Silent illumination, a way of penetrating the mind through curious inquiry, is an especially potent, accessible, and portable meditation practice perfectly suited for a time when there is so much fear, upheaval, and sorrow in our world. It is a method of reconnecting with our true nature, which encompasses all that exists and where suffering cannot touch us.The practice of silent illumination is simple, allowing each moment to be experienced as it is in order to manifest our innate wisdom and natural capacity for compassion. It can be integrated into all aspects of daily life and is meaningful for secular and Buddhist audiences, new and seasoned meditators alike. After guiding readers through the history and practice of silent illumination, Rebecca Li shows us how we can recognize and unlearn our ?modes of operation??habits of mind that get in the way of being fully present and engaged with life. Cultivating clarity on the empty nature of these habits offers us a way to unlearn and free ourselves from unhelpful modes such as harshness to self, perfectionism, quietism, striving for spiritual attainment, and more.Illumination offers stories and real-life examples, references to classic Buddhist texts, and insights from Chan Master Sheng Yen to guide readers as they practice silent illumination not just on their cushions, but throughout their lives.

[Smith] offers a good, pastoral word to Christians today."--Christian Century Many Christians live a faith that is "nowhen." They are disconnected from the past or imagine they are somehow "above" the flux of history, as if every generation starts with a clean state. They lack an awareness of time and the effects of history--both personal and collective--and thus are naive about current issues, prone to nostalgia, or fixated on the end times and other doomsday versions of the future. Popular speaker and award-winning author James K. A. Smith explains that we must reckon with the past in order to discern the present and have hope for the future. Integrating popular culture, biblical exposition, and meditation, he helps us develop a sense of "temporal awareness" that is attuned to the texture of history, the vicissitudes of life, and the tempo of the Spirit. Smith shows that awakening to the spiritual significance of time is crucial for orienting faith in the twenty-first century. It allows us to become indebted to the past, oriented toward the future, and faithful in the present.Table of ContentsContentsIntroduction: When Are We? Book SynopsisDesigned for the pastor and Bible teacher, the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the Old Testament features today''s top Old Testament scholars and brings together commentary features rarely gathered together in one volume. With careful discourse analysis and interpretation of the Hebrew text, the authors trace the flow of argument in each Old Testament book, showing that how a biblical author says something is just as important as what they say.Commentary on each passage follows a clear structure to help readers grasp the flow and meaning of the text: The Main Idea of the Passage: A one- or two-sentence summary of the key ideas the biblical author seeks to communicate. Literary Context: A brief discussion of the relationship of the specific text to the book as a whole and to its place within the broader argument. Translation and Exegetical Outline: Commentators provide their own translations of each text, formatted to highlight its discourse strucTrade Review'Dr. Turner is to be commended for this excellent work that combines scholarly research and personal insight into Habakkuk's world. His scholarship is especially evident in detailed textual analysis and clarifying footnotes, but perhaps the most outstanding feature of the commentary is Dr. Turner's ability to present each verse as part of the overall literary context of Habakkuk in a captivating manner that is borne out of both careful study and personal experience. This is truly a wonderful addition to the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the Old Testament!' * KEVIN BURRIS, department chair, Bible and theology, Toccoa Fall College *'Ken Turner's work in Habakkuk is invaluable. His commentary offers discourse analysis and grammatical context to expertly support those teaching, preaching, or studying the book. The commentary's depth of insight makes it a resource I will continue to use.' * TAYLOR TURKINGTON, director, BibleEquipping.org; author, Trembling Faith *'Kenneth Turner has written a truly original and valuable commentary on Habakkuk. Readers interested in Hebrew will be pleased by the careful attention to grammar, syntax, and poetic analysis. Turner integrates this focus on text-level details with careful consideration of intertextual connections, integration with Christian theology, and even pastoral application. He insightfully avoids common exegetical pitfalls and persuasively argues for better solutions. Turner demonstrates how evangelicals can draw from the best of current scholarship while avoiding excessive focus on topics that are unfruitful for exposition in the church. Students, pastors, and scholars alike will all benefit from this important study.' * DAVID J. FULLER, assistant professor of Old Testament, Torch Trinity Graduate University, Seoul, South Korea *

Book SynopsisIn THE CIRCLE OF THE SUN, Traleg Rinpoche asks: What is the starting point on the spiritual journey? It is possible that it is seeing oneself as inadequate. It is heartening that the Dzogchen and Mahamudra approach says that what one wants to attain is already present. There is no gap between what one is and what one wants to attain. In Dzogchen, the starting point, which is also the end point of the spiritual journey is having an understanding of the nature of mind. Tsele Natsok Rangdrol''s exposition of the Dzogchen path elucidates that the path rests on the practices of trekchö, which means cutting through, and thögal, which means leaping over. Trekchö practice entails settling the mind in its own natural state without effort and without the rejection of thoughts and emotions. Thögal practice makes use of images and visions to realize the innate wakefulness. Rinpoche explains there are many perspectives designed to help us uncover our authentic state, the ground-of-being, as it is o

Book SynopsisAt the turn of the millennium, Middle Eastern and Muslim Germans had rather unexpectedly become central to the country's Holocaust memory culture—not as welcome participants, but as targets for re-education and reform. Since then, Turkish- and Arab-Germans have been considered as the prime obstacles to German national reconciliation with its Nazi past, a status shared to a lesser degree by Germans from the formerly socialist East Germany. It is for this reason that the German government, German NGOs, and Muslim minority groups have begun to design Holocaust education and anti-Semitism prevention programs specifically tailored for Muslim immigrants and refugees, so that they, too, can learn the lessons of the Holocaust and embrace Germany's most important postwar democratic political values. Based on ethnographic research conducted over a decade, Subcontractors of Guilt explores when, how, and why Muslim Germans have moved to the center of Holocaust memory discussions. Esra Özyürek argues that German society "subcontracts" guilt of the Holocaust to new minority immigrant arrivals, with the false promise of this process leading to inclusion into the German social contract and equality with other members of postwar German society. By focusing on the recently formed but already sizable sector of Muslim-only anti-Semitism and Holocaust education programs, this book explores the paradoxes of postwar German national identity.Trade Review"Esra Özyürek has written a path-breaking and much needed book on the multifaceted, constitutive ways by which Turkish- and Arab-background migrants shaped German Holocaust memory and how it shaped their identity in return. Based on ethnographic research, this is a fundamental contribution that rewrites our understanding of the development of Holocaust memory in Germany"—Alon Confino, author of A World Without Jews"German Holocaust memory culture is often held up as a model for other nations to imitate. But, as Esra Özyürek shows in this provocative and ethnographically rich book, the story is much more complicated. Subcontractors of Guilt is a fascinating study of belonging and exclusion in post-Holocaust Germany and a must-read for all who are interested in contemporary Europe."—Michael Rothberg, author of Multidirectional Memory: Remembering the Holocaust in the Age of Decolonization"Subcontractors of Guilt is an essential intervention into contemporary German debates around migration, Muslim minorities, anti-Semitism, and Holocaust memory. By centering the perspectives of young German Muslims, Özyürek's insightful study offers an important corrective to narratives that too often fail to do so."—Fatima El-Tayeb, Yale University"This powerful, well-informed book would make a fine addition to any academic library. Book SynopsisA modern commentary by a beloved Tibetan teacher on a classical Indian Buddhist text and an introduction to Buddhism by one of the tradition’s most famous authors. A teaching on how to live a Buddhist life in contemporary society. Letter to A Friend, by the great Indian philosopher Nagarjuna, is one of the best-known introductions to Buddhism in classical Indian Buddhist literature. In this warm and generous commentary, one of the twentieth century’s most beloved teachers, Geshe Lhundup Sopa, shows how Nagarjuna’s advice on how to follow Buddhist ethics while living fully in the world speaks just as clearly to us today as it did to the Indian king for whom it was composed. Nagarjuna maintained that all Buddhists can embody the full teachings of the Buddha. Therefore, this book covers topics from simple virtues to the most profound truths of emptiness. Expertly compiled by his student, scholar Beth Newman, from talks given over a number of years, the commentary brings this ancient Buddhist teaching to a modern audience.

Book SynopsisEmeritus Pope Benedict commanded both adulation and unremitting criticism. To millions, he was a beacon of light in a turbulent modern world. In this second volume of Peter Seewald's authoritative biography, the story continues from the Second Vatican Council (19658) right up to his resignation in 2013. We see how Benedict was influenced by the Council and the ensuing political unrest all over Europe to move from a liberal perspective on the Church and the modern world to one that was profoundly conservative. Appointed in 1981 as prefect of the Congregation of Doctrine of the Faith, and quickly nicknamed God's Rottweiler', he proved to be intransigent on the controversial issues of abortion, contraception, gay rights and gay marriage. But elected Pope in 2005, his tenure of office was so riven with shocking revelations of controversy and scandal that it seemed that by the time of his resignation in 2013 he was incapable of handling the complexities of the Church in the modern world. Trade ReviewSeewald's passionate biography makes one sympathise with the bookish Bavarian. * Daniel Rey, Literary Review *An insight into hard times. * The Tablet *Table of ContentsList of Illustrations Part one professor 1 Tübingen 2 Deeply Afraid 3 1968 and the Myth of the Change 4 The Catholic Crisis 5 A Fresh Start 6 Tensions 7 The Vision of the Church of the Future 8 Reconquest 9 The Doctrine of Eternal Life 10 Archbishop 11 The Year of Three Popes 12 The Küng Case 13 The Legacy of Munich Part two prefect 14 The Prefect 15 Ratzinger’s Report 16 The Fight over Liberation Theology 17 Teamwork 18 The Collapse 19 The Long Suffering of Karol Wojtyla 20 Millennium 21 Agony 22 Conclave 23 Habemus Papam Part three pope 24 The First Pope of the Third Millennium 25 In the Shoes of the Fisherman 26 Benedetto Mania 27 The Regensburg Speech 28 Deus caritas est 29 Salt of the Earth, Light of the World 30 The Rupture 31 The Condom Crisis 32 The Abuse Scandal 33 The Shepherd 34 Human Ecology 35 Desecularization 36 The Betrayal 37 The Resignation 38 The Beginning of a New Era Afterword: Final Questions to Benedict XVI Notes Index

Book SynopsisThe God that we were brought up on is not big enough to be God. To be both religious and spiritual, modernity must be able to absorb the notion of a cosmic and evolving God. This notion redefines the place and purpose of humanity itself. The old notions of who is in charge, who is superior and whose theology is paramount is in a state of flux. Unless, or until, this new vision comes into play, directs our hearts, guides our business, underlies our technology, the world itself is not ready to understand or survive the horizon of Newness on which it stands.

  • Celtic Healing Oracle: 64 Cards and Guidebook

Inner Traditions Bear and Company Celtic Healing Oracle: 64 Cards and Guidebook

    1 in stock

Book SynopsisAttuned to the movements of nature, the Celts understood that all things are connected, and they “divined” answers to their queries as well as what the future holds from the animals, plants, the winds, and the seasons. Trees and animals had particular knowledge of past, present, and future. Through natural methods of divination, bards, healers, soothsayers, and holy women and men gained powers to see into the unseen. Stories and legends of their powers were told and retold, transmitting an enormous store of wisdom across the generations. In this oracle deck and guidebook, Rosemarie Anderson interprets Celtic myths and legends to create an oracle system of 64 cards featuring symbols from the ancient Celtic ways of knowing. The symbols represent three thousand years of Celtic culture and history, derived from archaeological excavations of Bronze and Iron Age Celtic sites throughout Europe and from the myths, folktales, and faery traditions still flourishing in rural Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The symbols of the cards represent cauldrons, spirals, leprechauns, faeries, animals, trees, the wondrous child (Cú Chulainn), the Sacred King, Cernunnos (the antlered god), the Morrigán (the raven goddess), Tir na nóg (the Blessed Isles), and other imagery and figures from Celtic lore. The accompanying guidebook explores the meaning, symbology, and mythic background for each card, such as how the Triple-Mother Goddess (Card 1) represents magnificence and the primal goddess in all her aspects--maiden, mother, and crone. The guidebook also explores the Celtic worldview, the basic principles of Celtic divination, as well as how to use the oracle to receive answers to specific questions. Conveying the power and wisdom of the ancient Celtic ways of knowing, this oracle offers a hands-on way to gain insight into the hidden forces at play in our lives.Trade Review“Rosemarie Anderson is a wise and trusted guide for anyone on the spiritual path of awakening. She introduces us to this ancient Celtic oracle and invites us to ask our questions of the Celtic gods and goddesses, trees and animals, and our ancestors. Then we are asked to listen silently and patiently to the answer that emerges from within our own true nature.” * Linda Sparrowe, author of Yoga at Home: Inspiration for Creating Your Own Home Practice *“This splendid, nature-based, Celtic-wisdomderived deck will alert you to deepen your connections, align your energies, and sidestep your obstacles.” * James Fadiman, Ph.D., author of Your Symphony of Selves *“Aiding discernment and spiritual growth, Rosemarie Anderson’s mythopoetic interpretation of Celtic archetypal images reaches creatively into the unconscious, where dreams live, growth is shaped, and change is born.” * Penelope Duckworth, author of Mary: The Imagination of Her Heart *“Rosemarie is the author of the wonderful Divine Feminine Tao Te Ching, which I read every day. This book of oracles consisting of 64 cards has been many decades in the making and reflects the embeddedness of Celtic spirituality in everyday life while all aspects and expressions are interconnected. Rosemarie explains how to cast the Oracle, including spreads of cards representing past, present and future. Prompted by her, I asked about my most important task in the years ahead. The first card—Mare—related to healing the wounds of abandonment and loss of trust, the second—Mother Goddess Carrying Children and Food—represents well-being and comfort, with a call to nourish oneself with soothing activities and relationships; while the third—Tir Na Nog, 64—represents the blessed isles to the west, which is about becoming aware of simple pleasures of life. I very much resonated with these cards and the call to simplicity and contentment. Highly recommended.” * David Lorimer, Paradigm Explorer Journal *

  • Ars Notoria: The Notory Art of Solomon: A

Inner Traditions Bear and Company Ars Notoria: The Notory Art of Solomon: A

    2 in stock

Book SynopsisThe 13th-century magical treatise Ars Notoria offers a secret account of the angel Pamphilius revealing the sacred magic to King Solomon by which he gained his famed wisdom and learning, thereby expanding upon the biblical narrative in which Solomon received a vision of God. Solomon’s writings were transmitted to the first-century philosopher, Apollonius of Tyana, who provided a commentary entitled the Golden Flowers (Flores Aurei), which is contained within Ars Notoria. The magical text presents a complete system of angelic magic consisting of prayers addressed to angels, using figures called notae, for the purpose of acquiring scholastic and heavenly knowledge. Due to its rising popularity among university students, the magical ritual was reworked time and again, producing five treatises, dating from the 13th to 15th centuries; The Work of Works (Opus Operum), the Book of Flowers of Heavenly Teaching composed by the French Benedictine monk named John of Morigny, The Short Art (Ars Brevis), the abridged version attributed to Thomas of Toledo, and The Pauline Art (Ars Paulina), thereby establishing an entire notorial art tradition. In this new and complete translation of Ars Notoria, based on Julien Veronese’s critical Latin edition, translator Matthias Castle presents the classic magical text, both short and long versions, including four of the later treatises. Castle explains how these theurgic ritual practices were performed, giving special attention to all the original pictorial figures (notae), and how the art of memory relates to angelic magic. Providing practical instruction, extensive commentary, and in-depth background research and annotations, Ars Notoria: The Notory Art of Solomon is an essential sourcebook on angelic magic for scholar and magician alike.Trade Review“This is one of the most important books on medieval magic to be published in many years. Enormously popular for decades, Ars Notoria was adapted and mutated into many versions, making it very challenging to understand. It is exciting to see an expert translation based on Véronèse’s reliable critical edition of the Latin versions and other primary texts. Matthias Castle’s tome is massive but worth every penny for its encyclopedic but lucid treatment of the many elements, such as the angelology, magical figures, rituals, art of memory, and liberal arts. Given the significant impact Ars Notoria had on later magical texts, including the Key of Solomon and Sworn Book of Honorius, Castle’s edition should be valuable to scholars and practitioners alike.” * Joseph H. Peterson, author, translator, and creator of the Esoteric Archives website *“One of the lost treasures of medieval occultism, the Ars Notoria is a system of Solomonic angelic magic used by students and scholars to attain knowledge of the arts and sciences. Matthias Castle has done an exemplary job in translating the original texts and setting out all the details of the notory art for today’s scholars and practitioners of magic.” * John Michael Greer, coauthor and cotranslator of The Complete Picatrix: The Occult Classic of Astrol *“This volume offers readers for the first time an English translation of this important work of image magic, based on the best available critical edition. Readers can count on a combination of readability and accuracy, and the book represents a substantial contribution by rendering this text accessible to a new audience of students and practitioners alike.” * David Porreca, Ph.D., associate professor and codirector of the medieval studies undergraduate progr *“Offers a methodical foundation for understanding and exploring the various manuscripts of the Ars Notoria tradition and its historical contexts. Richly illustrated with a wide evidentiary range of the Ars Notoria’s sacred diagrams, figures, sigils, and seals from across the manuscript corpus and presenting section-by-section close readings of the prayerful and conjurational texts in question, this book furnishes those enamored of the notory art a deeper understanding of its peculiar prayers and protocols. This work should provide all those interested in medieval angelology, manuscript illumination, grimoiric conjuration, and visual cultures of sacred art a valuable historical resource for understanding and engaging with these most pious and pedagogical of grimoiric traditions.” * Alexander Cummins, Ph.D., historian and coauthor of An Excellent Booke of the Arte of Magicke *Table of ContentsA Note on the TranslationAcknowledgments The History, Art, Ritual, and Method of the Ars NotoriaBy Matthias CastleI The Mythical and Material Story of the Ars Notoria II Elements of the Ars Notoria III The Knowledge of the Ars Notoria IV The Art of Memory V Analysis of the Figures VI The Complete Ritual Procedures Ars Notoria Version A 1 Flores Aurei Prologue Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 2 [Fragmented Supplements] Ars Nova Novem Termini The Specials Addendum 3 Notae Supplement Version A Ars Notoria Version B 4 Glosses and Variations Prologue Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Ars Nova Novem Termini 5 Notae Supplement Version B Branches of the Ars Notoria Tradition6 Opus Operum (Work of Works) 7 Ars Brevis (Short Art) 8 Ars Notoria Abbreviata (Abridged Notory Art According to Thomas of Toledo) 9 Ars Paulina (Pauline Art [of Seven Figures]) AppendicesA1 Manuscripts and Editions A2 Magical Figures of the Ars Notoria A3 Authorship of the Ars Notoria A4 Medieval Computations of Time A5 The Enlightened Work from the Wisdom of Solomon A6 Works Attributed to Apollonius A7 Works Attributed to Solomon A8 Annotated Bibliography of Medieval Scholarship Bibliography Index of Prayers General Index
