Description

Read and See books are fully decodable books for new readers. They have a very carefully controlled vocabulary and are specifically designed for children who are learning to read and write with Jolly Phonics. There is one word on each page. The children read the word, and then turn the page to see if they are correct by looking at the picture. The word is shown again in sound dots underneath the picture so that the children can learn to sound out the word after reading it. In Pack 1, the first two books use only regular words made up from the first group of letter sounds; the second two books use only regular words made up from the first and second letter- sound groups and so on, so that the number of letter sounds used in the text builds up cumulatively. Tips for teachers and parents are included within each book.
