Trade Review
"Fashion Logistics looks at the changing nature of fashion retailing and the implications of these changes for logistics. Each chapter contains an up-to-the minute case study illustrating how some of the major retailers around the world have adapted their supply chains to deal with the on-line revolution and changes in the global market place. Whilst the book will provide essential reading for students studying logistics and supply chain management, the book will be equally relevant for students studying fashion and retailing, particularly the topics such as the rise of fast fashion, luxury brands and sustainability." * Dorothea Carvalho, Director of Professional Development, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport CILT *
"Fashion Logistics is a well-rounded analysis of an industry that is facing not only challenges but an increasing pace of change, requiring companies to sharpen their strategies for segmentation, social responsibility, and brand control. The authors deftly combine the cultural significance of fashion with the business acumen required to succeed in a multi-tiered global environment." * Kelly Barner, Buyers Meeting Point *
"The authors address the latest supply chain trends impacting the fashion merchandising world. This book tackles all aspects of supply chain management in global fashion distribution, including sustainable and lean fashion merchandising, outsourcing, risks, omni-channel sales, and corporate social responsibility. Written in an easy-to-follow format, short case studies in each chapter relate the major topics in fashion logistics to modern-day retailing." * Inbound Logistics *
"Fernie and Grant have written a topical, insightful, focused, yet easy to read, exploration of fashion logistics. It should be on the bookshelf of all those interested in retail marketing and operations." * Steve Wood, Professor of Retail Marketing and Management, University of Surrey *
"An excellent resource. Covering a range of topical issues from ethics to online logistics, it provides a strong foundation for students and anyone interested in how different fashion retailers manage their complex global supply chains in an increasingly demanding market." * Dr Patsy Perry, Senior Lecturer in Fashion Marketing, The University of Manchester *
