Before long Mandrake allies with sinister underworld figures in London in a bid to crush Wrecker’s supporters in the city. Facing the loss of his business, his gang, his friends, and ultimately his life, Wrecker must hope for a miracle of deliverance. Strangely, the ghost of an opportunity becomes apparent at the old watermill, and in the millpond which sits directly above Mandrake’s countryside headquarters. A well-engineered flood couldn’t possibly be the answer to Wrecker’s problems… could it?
