Quirky, inventive, and funny, this story is perfect for storytime sharing.---School Library Journal
You need to see this book to fully appreciate the outrageous illustrations that fill the page in colors of teal, flesh, yellow, coral and off-white. Not only are the moles hilarious-looking, the weasel’s facial expressions and huge eyes stand out as the non-mole in the room.---Youth Services Book Review
In an amusing, open-ended conclusion the moles all glare at the weasel, who is caught with a funny, horrified expression. This unlikely premise somehow works well, with a few hilarious plot twists and an overall droll sense of understated humor. Stylized illustrations in citrus and teal shades and an oversized format bring the mole party to life.An odd but successful story with a sly sense of humor. ----Kirkus
I thought the book flowed along really well. The author did a wonderful job writing the book in a sequence that made sense. Another thing that I thought was great was the illustrations in the book. They were nice and bright and showed so much detail. I felt that each illustration went along with each page of the story, kind of giving the reader a good visual representation. I think this book would suit kids who have an interest in fun picture books about animals. I think this book would make a pretty good series. Maybe it could be about nonfiction things that animals do secretly when no one is there. This is a great book that is totally worth the time.---Kids Book Buzz
With absolutely beautiful illustrations and an intriguing story with a twist at the end, I think this book is a magnificent one to add to your child's book collection. I had a lot of fun reading it and I know for a fact that this book will appeal to a great number of young kids, especially if they're fond of animals and seeing the sneaky ones try and fail to make others a part of their meal.---NetGalley -Reviewer
