This example features the pattern from a lacquer box decorated by lesser-known artist Uematsu Hobi (1872–1933). The box itself is decorated with blossoming chrysanthemums and also features the poem, tsuyu no ma ni, the letters of which are embedded in silver. The background and edges are sprinkled with gold powder and portions of the blossoms and leaves on the top of the box are repeated on the sides.
