Este congreso reunió escritores, pensadores y profesores venidos de todas partes del mundo como Roberto Fernández Retamar, Claribel Alegría, Ana María Rodas, Antonio Cornejo-Polar o Tom McKechnie y muchos otros que nos honraron con su presencia, con su tiempo y dedicación contribuyendo a este congreso con generosidad.

This volume contains the proceedings of the 30th Congress of the International Institute of Ibero-American Literature that took place in Pittsburgh in June 1994 with Cristina Peri as the guest of honour. This congress brought together writers, thinkers and professors from all over the world such as Roberto Fernández Retamar, Claribel Alegría, Ana María Rodas, Antonio Cornejo-Polar or Tom McKechnie among many others who honoured us with their presence and generously contributed to this congress with their time and dedication.
