Book Synopsis
The book explores the search for indicators and production costs to define and measure the development factors of the most documented sectors of economic activity from the Late Middle Ages to the 16th Century in the Kingdom of Aragon and the surrounding regions. The aim is to present significant case studies on labor relations and business management in order to ultimately approach the living conditions of workers in agriculture and craftsmanship, while also investigating the level of profit obtained by the owners of the mining, forestry, agricultural, and artisanal operations examined. The study seeks to verify to what extent certain productive sectors allowed business owners to become wealthy and under what circumstances. For this reason, the analysis of management forms of business initiatives and work organization within the general context of the feudal system dominant in the 14th and 16th Centuries becomes fundamental.
