Description
Book SynopsisAchievement almost killed him. Fulfillment saved him.
Grant Muller was nearly killing himself – quite literally. A desperate quest to get rich had made him a millionaire before the age of 30 but then taken him to the brink: homeless, living on drugs and hustle. If his lifestyle didn’t end him, one of the thugs he owed money to would surely do the job.
So when he finally got off the streets and got clean, he knew everything had to change. He reinvented himself, and along the way came to understand that real success in sales isn’t just about the hustle, or about being top of mind. It’s about the human connections you create.
In transforming his own life, he transformed his understanding of business. Today he earns his millions as a real estate agent, living and working with a ‘Top of Heart’ philosophy, the true source of authentic connection, fulfillment and success.
His remarkable story is a call to a new, more human approach to business that might just save YOUR life, too.
‘Real-world urgency… A must read.’ Robert Reffkin, Founder & CEO, Compass Real Estate
Trade Review…a book that upends formulaic get-rich-quick business models and the belief that professional interactions depend on calculated manipulation. Muller contends that success must center on forming authentic relationships, but this extraordinary book is about much more than professionalism; it is about how to live a rewarding life. Muller’s own story, detailing the steps that led to addiction and homelessness, where he relinquished every semblance of integrity, supports his conviction. His evident honesty makes the foundation of his 180-degree change, which leads to exceptional professional success, totally credible. The book demonstrates that leading by feelings or 'heartset' can be transformational. Top of Heart includes several exercises where the reader can assess what feeling-driven business could mean for them…Muller’s transparency demonstrates how a different mindset can lead to life-altering change. Against the backdrop of how he lived in a self-made hell and achieved recovery through tremendous effort, the dramatic subtitle of the book is not an exaggeration…Essential reading for those about to start a career and veterans who have anchored themselves in script-driven deceptions. Top of Heart is Grant Muller’s memoir. While he was successful early on in life, becoming a millionaire before the age of 30, his fortune quickly spiraled downward after he became a drug addict… It’s not easy for drug addicts to raise themselves above their dire circumstances. Grant Muller managed to do this with flying colors, which is why Top of Heart is such an inspirational book. His memoir is well-written and I loved it. In business, Muller found that the traditional top-of-mind strategies were not enough. A new, more human approach was necessary and he came up with a personal philosophy, which is simply brilliant. For those who are looking for a real-life inspirational story and those looking for a new humane way to conduct business, this is a recommended read. Tommy Wong - Readers' Favorite 5-star review
Top Of Heart is Grant Muller's incredible story of how a young boy from South Africa overcame early assimilation difficulties and drug addiction while creating a new strategy for hitting sales targets that will increase your bank balance… Top Of Heart… is the missing link between the successful salesman and his happy clientele that has been ignored for too long. (Muller) shows how much experience he gathered as he created his trend-defining approach. This book is a must-read for everyone in the business of sales.
