Trade ReviewReview from Hampton Reviews Oct, 2011 - Website: www.hampton-networks.com/book-reviews/the-logical-magic-of-change-by-valerie-e-thompson/ 5 stars. A wealth of information in a small package. I have never been a huge fan of self-help books. I have read some that I found interesting and some that seemed useful but I seldom find any that I would actually recommend. That being said - The Logical Magic of Change was a great surprise. I admit I was cynical when I started reading. Not of the concept of positive thought, but on the concept of yet another book to help you find "your way" and all that blah. What I found is one woman's honest thoughts and experience with positive thought and the phrases and prayers she has created and used to help herself and others in their day to day lives. The book is ell written and very easy to read and understand. It is also blissfully short and refrains from the unending repetition that is prominent in so many self help books. The wording is normal, like a typical conversation, and there is no clinical or "guru" feel to it. It reminds me of conversations with a favorite aunt or with my granny. Real and realistic without a ton of fluff or pomp. I love the fact that she admits to not having first hand knowledge of some situations and that she makes suggestions not demands with both her actual words as well as the general "vibe" of the book. I have to admit that I had never put too much stock in positive affirmations but after reading The Logical Magic Of Change I am willing to give some of the concepts a try. So now that I have said that I can admit that I have already recommended this book to a friend who is having some emotional problems. And I definitely recommend it to all of you. Everyone can use a little (or a lot) more positive energy in their lives. Take a few moments and read through The Logical Magic Of Change. It just might have the words of wisdom you need but didn't know you were looking for.
