On Chain of Gold:

For teenagers who might like to lose themselves in an Edwardian London overrun with demons [...] this story offers glamour, romance and peril.

Simply put, Chain of Iron was everything that I had expected and absolutely then some! The pacing was completely edge of your seat enthralling and the beloved characters completely will keep you invested throughout! That completely wild ending too, it’s only encouraging all the heartache for book 3, which I cannot wait for, especially how things were left at the conclusion of Chain of Iron! There were so many moments throughout where I was inwardly cheering, especially when something happened that I’d been so eager to happen, it was so satisfying * Brooklyn the Bookworm *
What else can I say but I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! I think this series might be my favorite in the shadowhunters world. I have all my favorites from The Clockwork Devices series but I just love the energy of the merry thieves. Chain of Iron absolutely stole my heart, many tears were shed but it was all so worth it! * Booksaboutem *
Wow, what a roller coaster. The Last Hours is coming to be my favourite Cassandra Clare series yet (and that’s saying something - I love them all). The characters in this series are incredible! * Booked by Ari *
What can I say, other than Cassandra Clare has such a way with words. * Bookish Intoxication *
Chain of Iron is the second in the series, and somehow it was even better than the first. There’s a lot going on, but I enjoyed every single moment. * anjalikay *
There’s pain, love, and loss to be found between these pages and I highly suggest you keep a box of tissues nearby – the Angel knows you’ll need them! There’s no official date set for the next book, Chain of Thorns, but I would willingly battle 5 mandikhor demons to get my hands on a copy now! * Booktopia *
that cliff-hanger ending will have readers begging for the next book. * Book Girl Between the Pages *
All in all, I thought Chain of Iron was a fantastic book and a nice sequel to Chain of Gold. * Happy Indulgence *
Chain of Iron flowed seamlessly from Chain of Gold and damn, as soon as you pick it up, you honestly can’t put it down. * Blue Fairy Tales *
Rating: 5 out of 5! * Emma the Bibliophile *
