Book SynopsisThis dogmatics forms the bridge between the "Fundamental Theology" of Part I (Through Truth to Freedom) and the planned "Theological Ethics" of Part III (Through Law to Peace). Like systematic theology as a whole, it takes a critical and orienting part in the religious communication of the gospel in the area of the Christ community of the churches in the here and now. It answers the question of the necessary and sufficient conditions under which the certainty of God in faith in Christ arises and exists, which evokes a life of moral freedom. Konrad Stock shows in this dogmatics that the human and fundamental right of religious freedom guarantees a freedom of church organization that enables and demands the responsible participation of all its members in all areas of life of their society. It expressly takes seriously the culpability of being human, the suffering suffered and being unto death in all this-worldly, inner-historical practice. Therefore she characterizes life in the certainty of God's belief in Christ as life in the hope of perfection in God's future eternity.
