Trade Review
Through a thoughtful and informative look back, Dr. Rettig sets the stage for all of us who care deeply about higher education to reflect upon our own values and beliefs about shared governance and leadership in the academy. Perry's writing questions the current state of shared governance along with the leadership, or lack thereof, that has led us to a very different place in higher education than most of us anticipated when we pursued careers in colleges and universities. Perry's book is a must read for those who wish to assume a leadership role in higher education. -- Martin Tadlock, Regional Chancellor, University of South Florida, St. Petersburg
