Description
Book SynopsisSeafood of South-East Asia was researched and written when the author was British Ambassador to Laos in the mid-1970s; the original typesetting was undertaken by the Imprimerie Nationale in Vientiane. It was first privately published, before a regular trade edition was issued by Federal Publications, Singapore in 1977. The author saw his work as a ''sort of farewell gift to South-East Asia.'' At the time, and even today, there was no book available about the seafood of the region.
Here are combined a catalogue of the principal edible species of the region - the range of many extending as far as New Zealand to the east, Madagascar and the Gulf to the west - with a fine collection of recipes gathered from all over South-East Asia.
