The 226 km long Remstal-Hoehenweg begins in Fellbach and leads along the Rems to the left at half-elevation to the source of the Rems in Essingen on the Swabian Jura, from where the path then leads back to the right of the Rems in the direction of the mouth of the Neckar. You pass through the varied natural and cultural landscape of the Remstal, consisting of extensive wine-growing areas, meadow orchards, fields and forests as well as historic towns and friendly villages. The hiking trail can be walked in 12 varied stages, each 14 to 22 km long, on which the hiker always encounters new views and highlights.
