It offers comprehension activities that require children to read a variety of genres, including legends, fables, science fiction, adventure, poetry, biographies, journals and reports. It includes three levels of questions, literal, deductive and evaluative, provided for each comprehension text. It covers opportunities to practise a selection of comprehension strategies, including prediction, summarising, comparing and determining importance.
