He served with the Division throughout the African Campaign, up to the boot of Italy, and north of Rome. The Division set the WWII record of over 500 days in battle and Youngdahl served out most of that time with the Division. In his heartfelt book, Youngdahl shares many real life experiences of his platoon. This is not a gory dissertation but an insider's view of what our troops went through in far away places.
