This book showcases the creations of the Modular Projects company (based in Alicante, Spain) which launched a state-of-the-art modular architecture product on the market in 2009, based on modular industrialised construction with a timber-frame structure for private homes, warehouses, extension and penthouses. This type of construction, common in the USA and many northern European countries, allows construction in just 120 days and at a much lower cost than the traditional brick construction system and with unbeatable energy efficiency and finishes worthy of a high-end home. With more than 190 homes completed so far in Spain, England, France and Portugal, these modular constructions are faster and simpler to build (which allows for a significant reduction in costs), and are made with safe, ecological and at the same time flexible and functional materials (including natural stone) featuring thermal and acoustic performance far superior to traditional construction.
