Book Synopsis
What made modern art so ground-breaking? Discover for yourself with The Modern Art Journal – a thought-provoking introduction to the revolutionary world of modern art. This interactive activity book introduces the reader to the life and work of 16 artists. But rather than offering a prescriptive approach to art history, it encourages children to write and think about art for themselves. With a sketchbook binding and funky graphic design, The Modern Art Journal will get kids scribbling and thinking – the perfect tool for the next generation of budding art critics! Features the work of Louise Bourgeois, Joseph Cornell, Marcel Duchamp, Damien Hirst, David Hockney, Frida Kahlo, Paul Klee, Yayoi Kusama, René Magritte, Pablo Picasso, Paula Rego, Bridget Riley, Ed Ruscha, Cindy Sherman, Andy Warhol and Rachel Whiteread.
