This accessible introduction to his thought begins with the questions âWhy Bakhtin?â and âWho was Bakhtin?â, before dealing in detail with his ideas on authorship and subjecthood, language, dialogism, heteroglossia and the novel, the chronotope, and the carnivalesque.
