Mark received his undergraduate degree in psychology and went on to receive his master's in counseling from West Virginia University. It wasn't until a copy of Linda Goodman's book Love Signs fell into his hands in 1979 that it was clear that astrology had the potential to be the fastest and most definitive map to the psyche. That map became the focus of Mark's career, when in 1982 he moved to Denver to meet Jungian astrologer John Joseph. The two opened Denver's premier astrological store, The Twelfth House, in 1989.
