Book SynopsisIn 1659, Luis de Haro met with Cardinal Jules Mazarin to conclude a peace treaty that would end over twenty years of war. The hitherto unpublished letters sent by Haro to Philip IV offer an account of the negotiations that diverges from Mazarin's reports. This edition offers a mix of the original letters and summaries, as well as explanatory notes.
