This book will be a great addition to my sewing library. This book is a very thorough, informative book on how to tailoring, how to make a professional suit. This book details choosing and preparing fabrics, the tools and techniques needed, the steps for making a man or women's jacket and making tailored trousers. Everything you need to know to make a suit is included with many helpful illustrations.
I received an advance copy of Tailoring: A Complete Course on Making a Professional Suit from the publisher (Fox Chapel Publishing) and I am really taken with it. I own several books on tailoring but this one goes into greater depth in many areas that the others don't cover, like linings. I have it open as I plod along on my vintage jacket. Pub date is 3/1/11. I'll do a more thorough review of this book and the other two books in the Illustrated Guide to Sewing series-Couture Techniques and Garment Construction-as we get closer to the pub date.
