Central problem areas included are: -access to asylum in the EU -freedom of movement for migrants -legal procedural guarantees -the ban on discrimination based on residence status -respect for social and family ties in migration control measures -the guarantee of minimum social rights for irregular migrants, and -the public and civil society infrastructure to defend human rights.
