This is a very simple, homophonic setting, essentially a four-part first section repeated with an added solo-soprano counter melody. In spite of the apparent simplicity, this is an expressive setting with some interesting harmonic colouring and ever-extending melodic range. The added soprano line adds some uplifting touches.
