The reader will experience the horrors of the battlefield as well as gaining insights into why the campaign was initiated and why it played out in the way that it did through to the final evacuation. The Gallipoli battlefield was not a simple fight of good versus evil, but a conflict of more complex origins in which everyone was on the side of righteousness.
